The Triple-i Initiative returned for its second annual showcase of indie games from developers big, small and everywhere in between.

The livestream was a wall-to-wall showcase of indie games from just about every conceivable genre. Below, we’ve corralled the games that you can find on the Epic Games Store.

For more, be sure to read our interview with its organizers — a group of independent developers behind games like Dead Cells, Darkest Dungeon, Risk of Rain 2 and more — ahead of their inaugural showcase last year.

Vampire Survivors: Emerald Diorama

Vampire Survivors: Emerald Diorama adds characters from SaGa: Emerald Beyond, the recent role-playing game from Square Enix, to the bullet hell Vampire Survivors universe.

The update adds more than 12 new characters (including SaGa protagonists), more than 16 new weapons, 40 new attacks and the Glimmer mechanic from the SaGa series, in which characters learn powerful new skills at random as they play, as well as remixes of SaGa songs.

The Vampire Survivors: Emerald Diorama update is out now on the Epic Games Store.

The Alters

In 11 bit studios’ The Alters, you play as Jan Dolski, an everyman desperate to escape the hellish planet he’s crash-landed on. Jan’s solution: Create alternative versions of himself — the titular alters — to help him survive.

The Alters is part adventure, part survival, part harvesting, part base-building and all sci-fi, as Jan confronts the problems of the present and his past. Jan (well, several Jans) narrates the Triple-i trailer, which showcases the bleak and beautiful setting. There are only a few days until they’re dead. He gives his clones jobs — miners, botanists, a rebellion-inciting technician and one who’s in love with his (their!) late wife. Will it work? He has no idea. But he also has no choice.

The trailer revealed that The Alters is finally releasing June 15, 2025.

Blacksmith Master

Blacksmith Master is a medieval-themed simulation game from the developers at Untitled Studio, who created a world where you take charge of everything from mining to smithing armor, jewelry, tools and even cooking utensils. As players grind their way to become a titular master blacksmith, they’ll not only have to research and develop but also manage a team of blacksmiths and optimize their forge.

Timberborn

Timberborn is a city-builder simulation game from the developers at Mechanistry who created a world where humans have gone and beavers are on the ascendancy. Choose from among two factions—the eco-friendly Folktails, or the industrious Iron Teeth—and rebuild the world.

The Triple-i trailer showed off Timberborn update 7—Ziplines & Tubeways—which includes updates to 3D terrain and the addition of ziplines tubeways designed for you to traverse your city faster.

Super Fantasy Kingdom

Super Fantasy Kingdom is a roguelike city builder from the developers at Super Fantasy Games. The story goes like this: You return from a hunting trip to find your home decimated. Your job is to rebuild during the day and fend off enormous waves of enemies at night. Failure destroys your kingdom, but restarting means that you begin again with some of what you’ve gained, including heroes and more land.

The Triple-i trailer showed off not just city building, upgrading and management but also monster management, as they deployed troops to counter the invading hordes and hoped to bottleneck them with a wall outside of their territory. In the end, there were just too many to keep out. The settlement was overrun. Time to begin again.

IKUMA: The Frozen Compass

In IKUMA: The Frozen Compass from Mooneye Studios, you play as Sam, who with his sled dog Ellie by his side, must explore an arctic island. Together, they must forge for food, uncover secrets and survive.

All of those mechanics were on display in the Triple-i trailer, as Sam and Ellie traversed the beautiful, snow-filled landscape, climbed up icy cliffs and discovered some surprising locations and structures.
