Glover

Glover is a puzzle-intensive adventure game made up of 6 worlds with 30 different levels. You control a charismatic glove that walks on two fingers, slaps harder than Steve Austin, dribbles faster than Scottie Pippen, and plays with a bouncy rubber ball.

Save the World...Single-handed!

The Kingdom's peaceful world has been shattered! The wizard, while mixing potions with his magical gloves has caused a huge explosion, turning him instantly to stone and dislodging the seven crystals that give the Kingdom its energy. Without the crystals, the castle and its world will fall apart and the wizard will be lost!

It's down to Glover, one of the magical gloves, to find the crystals, now disguised as rubber balls and return them safely to the castle. Guide Glover and the balls through seven magical worlds full of puzzles and hidden surprises. Watch out! The evil glove is lurking in the shadows, and he'll stop at nothing to foil Glover's attempts at restoring peace.

Finally the wait is almost over. The N64 Era Cult Classic Glover is coming soon! This version of Glover is a completely ported from the original source code (N64 version of the game), and improved for modern PCs. It features Wide Screen, compatibility with Windows 7 and 10. Compatibility with USB controller, as well as higher resolution display.

It might be a bit nostalgic to some people, perhaps even a bit charming, but play it for a bit and you’ll realise why you asked your mom to buy you a copy of Banjo-Kazooie or Rayman 2 instead of this game back when it first came out.

Even in its remastered form, Glover is really frustrating to play, and not an enjoyable experience at all. With the amount of games out there and the limited amount of time most of us have, you would be better off getting something else, unless you really want a nostalgic trip to experience a rather bland re-release of a 3D platformer.

Glover is a beloved title of an excellent era of 3D platformer games, so it’s really disappointing the developers did not adapt the game to be playable to modern standards. The game didn’t need a rebuild, but it clearly didn’t get the quality of life features it needed to be accessible to first-time players, especially frustrating given the title has been on Steam for so long. If you’re a big fan of Glover and are confident you won’t be frustrated by the old-school controls, then this will be perfect be for you. However, if you’ve no affinity for the game I strongly recommend you avoid or wait for a significant store sale.
