What kind of game is Realms?

Realms is an extraction-based RPG with social elements, fast-paced 9-player matches, and a fully on-chain economy. Each match lasts around 10 minutes and rewards strategy, survival, and teamwork.

Is Realms free to play?

Yes, Realms is free to play. However, in order to earn rewards and access the full economy, players must own a Kojin — our core character class with varying traits and rarities.

What is a Kojin?

Kojin are unique, player-owned characters that unlock reward-earning capabilities in Realms. They are NFT-based and come in different types, traits, and rarities.

What is Hiroba?

Hiroba is the central social hub in Realms, where players can gather, chat, interact with AI NPCs, and explore player-owned houses and environments.

Do I need cryptocurrency to play?

No. You can play Realms without any crypto, but cryptocurrency is used in our marketplace for trading items, characters, and in-game assets. Owning a Kojin also involves crypto-based ownership.

Can I talk to other players?

Yes! Realms supports in-game voice and text chat during matches and within Hiroba, enhancing both cooperation and social interaction.

Is there crafting or professions?

Yes. Players can collect resources, craft gear, and specialize in various professions that tie into the game's economy and progression.

Can I bring in NFTs from other games or chains?

Yes. Realms integrates select playable characters from outside NFT collections and chains, allowing crossover functionality with your existing assets.

What is breeding, and how does it work?

Breeding allows Kojin owners to create new Kojin, offering a lower entry point for new players and enabling the expansion of the player base in a sustainable way.

How is blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency used in this product?

The game's economy is fully on-chain. All characters (Kojin) and houses (deeds) are tokenized assets that can be owned on-chain. A fully on-chain marketplace facilitates the buying, selling, and trading of these items.

What utility does this bring to the product?

No, connecting an external wallet is optional.

The game client includes its own internal wallet.

Supported external wallets include Ronin and MetaMask.

Can I use the product without interacting or engaging with blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency?

Early Access is exclusive to owners of Kojin (our main NFT character).

Full public access will be available in the future.

However, players who do not own NFTs will have limited rewards and access to specific features.

What chain does this product use? Is the chain proof-of-work or proof-of-stake?

The product is chain agnostic and can integrate multiple blockchains.

Does this product have a marketplace? What can I do with the things that I earn (or purchase)?

Players can trade characters, assets, and crafted items directly on-chain.

All earned or purchased items exist as blockchain assets and can be used in gameplay or traded with other players.

Are there in-app purchases within the gameplay? How are payments processed?

No traditional in-app purchases are part of the game. Trading happens exclusively via blockchain transactions—no traditional payment methods are used at this point.
