Resident Evil 4 duo Leon S. Kennedy and Ada Wong drop into extraction shooter Arena Breakout: Infinite today.

Players can now deploy into the Dark Zone as either of the legendary Resident Evil characters, as part of a collaboration between Arena Breakout Infinite and Resident Evil 4, which also includes free rewards and unlockable exclusive collab outfits.

This is the second crossover event to hit the game. Last year saw a collaboration with Cyberpunk 2077, which included character outfits, gear skins and some new weapons.

The success of that first crossover event is what led to this latest collab, said developers Morefun Studios.

“We have always been focused on offering diverse experiences centered around our core shoot-loot-extract loop, and IP collaborations are one of the ways we explore this,” said Arena Breakout: Infinite associate producer Dave Pan. “The positive feedback from our community on last year's Cyberpunk 2077 crossover encouraged us to seek out more partnerships that align with ABI's tone.”

The decision to team up with Resident Evil this time around was driven in part by Morefun Studios’ decision to create a biohazard-themed mode for Arena Breakout: Infinite.

“Having already teased upcoming biohazard-themed gameplay in our 2026 Roadmap, we saw a meaningful connection with Resident Evil, which provided the right opportunity to make this collaboration happen,” Pan said. “As a benchmark of the survival genre, Resident Evil has always excelled at building tension through resource scarcity and unpredictable environments. That feeling of surviving in a hostile space is exactly what we wanted to deliver in our own design—it shares many similarities with the high-stakes extraction experience in Kamona.”

The Biohazard Loot Rush kicked off on July 24 and includes six waves of rewards and limited-time events.

Rewards

Events

• Crown of Glory: 
  • Search in raids for Ceremonial Crowns and gems of various colors. 
  • Combine them to craft the ultimate collectible: Crown of Glory worth 1,000,000 Koen.
• Egg Trade: 
  • Loot eggs across all maps and trade them using merchant clues to score Spinels. 
  • Watch out for daily price fluctuations and risk multipliers to maximize your returns.
  • Trade in your Spinels for sprays, badges, the Infection Variation Vector 9 SMG, and the exclusive collab outfit: Crest Lord (Hat, Jacket, Pants, and Boots), etc.
• Egg Rally: The limited-time red item: Egg Rally will appear in the Dark Zone. Players have a chance to obtain them from safes on all maps.

While Morefun Studios didn’t want to discuss the particulars of any future collaborations, it’s clear more are to come, perhaps even more with Capcom.
