Epic Games Store Web Shops FAQ
Epic’s Web Shops are a direct-to-consumer storefront that developers and publishers can use to sell currency or consumable content directly to players—with no Epic Game Store base game availability required.
Web Shops are available for both mobile and PC products.
Web Shops follow the same revenue share terms as standard Epic Games Store distribution. You’ll receive 100% of the first $1 million in net revenue per title, per year, including revenue from both your Web Shop and your Epic Game Store-listed product (if applicable). After that threshold is met, the standard 88/12 revenue share applies.
Any developer or publisher with a registered Epic Games Developer account and eligible products can set up a Web Shop.
Developers can sign in to dev.epicgames.com/portal (Opens in new tab), complete the self-publishing onboarding process, and enable Web Shops within the product settings. Existing partners should contact their Epic Games Store account manager or submit a private support ticket (Opens in new tab) through the Portal for assistance.
For mobile developers looking to also launch their game on the Epic Games Mobile Store in tandem with a Web Shop, support via our self-publishing tool is currently available via our Mobile Early Adopter program. Please reach out to us directly, and we will be happy to assist with the setup process. This can be done via your account manager or by submitting through our Leads Intake form (Opens in new tab).
Any content considered a consumable sale, including virtual currency and other one use items, can be sold via a Web Shop. However please note that Web3 games are not eligible for a Web Shop.
