The Epic Games Store is free to install, and at launch has Fortnite, Fall Guys and Rocket League Sideswipe available to download and play for free with optional in-app purchases available. In the future, you’ll be able to purchase new products directly through the app, and get weekly free games and/or content packs.
The Epic Games Store is available on iPhone or iPad in the European Union only, and on Android, PC, and Mac worldwide. The Epic Games Store is planned to launch on iPhone and iPad in the UK Japan in 2025 with more regions to follow as new laws creating app store competition are passed.
With the exception of the iPhone and iPad apps, which are available in the European Union only, the Epic Games Store is available everywhere except where prohibited by US law, such as North Korea and Iran. Certain regions may have additional legal requirements that developers may need to implement in their games in order to be compliant and distributed there.
The Epic Games Store mobile app can be installed on iPhones running iOS 17.6 or later, iPads running iPadOS 18 or later, and on Android phones running SDK 24 or later at a minimum (we recommend SDK 34 onwards for optimal performance). In both cases, around 25MB of storage is required.
Please note that the minimum spec required for the games available on the mobile store may be higher.

The Epic Games Store for iPhone, iPad and Android can update automatically, as with any other app, or can be manually updated by opening the app and following the on-screen prompts (which will automatically appear if your app is out of date).
Yes, and as long as you are logged in with your Epic Games account, you’ll be able to progress in your favorite games no matter which platform you’re playing on. If you are using an iPhone in the European Union you need to be running on OS version 17.6 or later, and if you are using an iPad in the European Union you need to be running on iPadOS 18 or later, to be able to install the Epic Games Store on a compatible device. You uninstall the Epic Games Store the same way you uninstall any other app on the device you are using, there is no new or special process.
