Apex Legends: Takeover adds Creator Commissioner challenges, huge meta updates, and more

It’s a Takeover
The Creator Commissioners are in charge of the game for the next few months. Every two weeks, a new Creator will set challenges, select modes, and choose rewards.

The first week of their Challenges throw down the gauntlet to the community to determine how many Apex Packs* are earnable in the second week.
Tier 1 completion: 10 total Apex Packs earnable
Tier 2 completion: 15 total Apex Packs earnable
Tier 3 completion: 20 total Apex Packs earnable
Week two of each Challenge is when all that hard work pays off! Along with the packs, completing five individual challenges will unlock a creator-selected Legendary weapon skin. Make sure you hop in on the second week—according to the Apex blog, “Participating in week one doesn’t automatically earn you rewards”.
Here’s the rundown of the creator making the choices, and what they’ve lined up.
Creator Commissioners and their Legendary choices:
February 25-March 10, 2025: Ninjayla
Legendary skin: Wingman’s “Death Ray”
March 11-24, 2025: Oraxe
Legendary skin: Kraber’s “The Pioneer”
April 1-14, 2025: Apryze
Legendary skin: Mastiff’s “Bone Breaker”
April 15-28, 2025: Kaminari Kyupi
Legendary skin: Mastiff’s “Tombstick”
You can earn even more via Twitch, too. Via the Apex blog: “Earn a Banner Frame when you tune in to your faves on Twitch via Twitch Drops and a free Creator-themed tracker set in the Featured store to gift your friends!”
Arsenals are here!
Load up with the new Arsenal, a new, consistent way to access weapons and ammo during Battle Royale. Arsenals are located across all POIs on every map. Their locations are fixed, so learning where they are will give you a keen advantage mid-match.

According to the Apex blog: “In addition to providing our full armory of weapons, Arsenals will also provide relevant ammo and the ability to enhance weapons. You can enhance one weapon per Arsenal and that weapon must match the Arsenal's ammo type. Doing so will grant an upgraded attachment and provide an optic if the weapon is missing one. When bins reset, so too do Arsenals—giving you the ability to upgrade again with higher potency. The amount of ammo they provide also significantly increases after a reset.”
You can spot Arsenals from the Dropship, and via pings on the ground.
Buffs all over
When your boots hit the ground, be wary of the extra pep that the weapons have. Every gun in the game has received an upgrade to make them more competitive alongside Assault Rifles.

The buffs will reduce time-to-kill, while updates to Armor, Helmets, and headshot multipliers will keep things interesting. In addition to those, “Legends aren’t missing out either” according to the Apex Blog. “The Assault class is getting some hot new perks, and both Ash and Ballistic are getting some special attention. We’ve also made some adjustments to regen items to ensure you still have a fighting chance while taking on these lethal changes.”
Be sure to check the patch notes. They’ll reveal the enormous changes in great detail.
Happy Anniversary
The new season also kicks off an Anniversary event for the sixth year celebration, which will debut the Mythic R-301.
