Award-winning Botanicula, huge Firestone: Online Idle RPG loot pack free this week on Epic Games Store for mobile

It’s Thursday, which means it’s time for new free content in the Epic Games Store for mobile!

From April 17 to April 24, 2025, you can get Botanicula for free, and if you download and log into Firestone: Online Idle RPG through the Epic Games Store mobile app, you’ll get an exclusive bundle of bonus content*, too! They’re available on Android worldwide and iOS in the European Union.

In Botanicula, the award-winning adventure game from developer Amanita Design, you take on the role of five adorable little creatures who dwell in a gigantic tree. When their homeland is invaded by parasites, a group of five friends — all of which are the main characters — must traverse their habitat and save the last remaining seed from the creepy, dangerous, shadowy baddies. 

The beautifully drawn game includes more than 150 locations, filled with secrets and bonuses to discover. As you explore, you’ll be treated to musical stylings and sound effects created by DVA, the Czech alternative rock duo. 

Shortly after its release, Botanicula’s catchy soundtrack won the award for Excellence in Audio at the Independent Games Festival, and the accolades didn’t stop there. Botanicula nabbed the award for best Story/Word Design at IndieCade, the international festival dedicated to celebrating the best games from independent developers. 

Amanita Design is the studio behind the robot-infused adventure game Machinarium and the space gnome-filled Samorost trilogy, which includes Samorost 1, Samorost 2, and Samorost 3, all of which have similar vibes and are available in the Epic Games Store.

Developer Holyday Studios’ Firestone: Online Idle RPG is a role-playing game that lets you lean forward into the action or lean back and let the gameplay itself. No matter how you play — furiously tapping or just managing your heroes — you can score some big bonuses through the Epic Games Store mobile this week. 

As the game’s title indicates, it’s perfectly at home as an idle game. Build your team of heroes — including archers, wizards, and knights — and you can set them out to battle the evil forces while you’re away. They’ll fight, collect the spoils of war, and you can spend it on upgrading your heroes, skills, equipment, and more. Or you can join them and tap on the screen to hurry the battles along. It’s your call, and you can switch back and forth seamlessly.
