End of Summer Sale continues to bring the heat with scorching deals
Cooler weather might be just around the corner, but that’s not stopping the End of Summer Sale from bringing the heat!
Starting today, September 2, at 11 AM EDT (4 PM BST / 5 PM CEST), the Epic Games Store End of Summer Sale continues until September 16 at 11 AM EDT (4 PM BST/ 5 PM CEST). It’s not quite autumn yet, but the prices for a lot of great games sure are falling.
Highlights of the Epic Games Store End of Summer Sale
Dead Island 2 Gold Edition
Dead Island 2 relocates the first-person zombie-slaying of the 2011 original from the fictional island of Banoi to the much more real (though some might debate that) city of Los Angeles—now known as HELL-A. Choose from six survivors to traverse the undead-ridden streets, from Beverly Hills to Venice Beach.
The action is as gory as it is hilarious, and memorable NPCs are often more concerned with going viral than actually helping one another survive. Creative weapon combinations only add to the tongue-in-cheek mayhem, and the Dead Island 2 Gold Edition significantly expands your options thanks to three Bonus Content packs and the Expansion Pass.
Destiny 2: The Final Shape + Annual Pass
The Final Shape’s campaign takes you to a new destination known as the Pale Heart where the Dread (Destiny 2’s first new enemy faction in six years) await with all the hospitality you’d expect from their name. This expansion also introduces the Prismatic subclass, powerful new Exotic weapons and Supers, the 12-player Salvation’s Edge raid, and more—all while bringing the decade-long Light and Darkness Saga to a satisfying close.
And there’s still more story to come! Over the course of the next year, Destiny 2: The Final Shape + Annual Pass offers immediate access to all three additional Episodes as they’re released. You can check out Echoes already, with Revenant and Heresy wrapping things up in the months to come.
F1 Manager 2024
It’s easy to think of F1 racing as an individual sport, but without a full squad of experts, not even the best driver in the world is going to get very far. F1 Manager 2024 tasks you with being the key decision maker, with the new Create A Team mode testing your ability to do everything from hiring the world’s best drivers to finer details like logo and uniform creation.
Your actions impact sponsorships negotiations, staff mentality, and many other off-the-road happenings. And when it finally is race time, prepare yourself for continuous split-second decisions, with factors like weather and unexpected mechanical failures even coming into play.
Sure, you may not be the driver—but you’re certainly steering things.
Alan Wake 2 Deluxe Edition
We’ve all felt trapped in a dark place—but only horror writer Alan Wake can claim to be trapped in a literal Dark Place, formed by his imagination. In Alan Wake 2, you’ll be mesmerized by an experience born from the depths of Alan's own mind, with no idea of what to expect next. It’s a delightfully unsettling mix of terror and whimsy that’s hard to put down.
Along with skins for Alan and fellow playable character Saga Anderson, the Deluxe Edition treats us to two expansions. The first, Night Springs, is already available (read all about it here!), and we look forward to learning much more about Lake House in the near future.
Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition
As anyone venturing into the seedy side of Night City these days will attest, CD Projekt Red has absolutely fine-tuned their epic open-world action-RPG to match the years of hype leading up to it.
Beyond offering some great practice for surviving the dystopia we’ll likely find ourselves in some 53 years from now, the Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition comes complete with the critically acclaimed Phantom Liberty expansion. You're not just adding the inherent cool of Idris Elba to the Keanu Reeves that was there the whole time—you're also getting what some critics hail as the best expansion to a video game ever released.
And while you’re in a CD Projekt Red kind of mood, do consider tossing some coins to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition.
It’s all part of the End of Summer Sale, along with dozens and dozens of other great games. Grab what you can—the deals last now through September 16.
