Past Meets Future as Rocket League Unleashes The Nissan Z

5.26.2022

Most cars come and go, but sometimes a line will grow into something so unique that it can last for generations. This is the story of the iconic Nissan Z line, which enters its 7th generation next year. The new Nissan Z Performance Bundle celebrates that history as an in-game car in Rocket League, available starting May 26.

History in the Making

A staple of classic JDM, the Nissan Z began in Japan as the Fairlady Z, also known as the Datsun 240 abroad. This 1969 sports car was an instant hit with its speedy-looking body lines and beautifully designed front end.

The third generation 300zx was a true 80’s icon. Distinctive rear lights and a hardline silhouette helped the 300zx define an entirely new crop of JDM designs.

In 2003, The Z Marquee began again, entering its fifth generation under the new Nissan name. The car received major design overhauls that resulted in sleek and modern styling that stood out from other sports cars of the time.

Now in 2022, we eagerly await the 2023 model. That’s right, the IRL car might not be out yet, but Rocket League has always been ahead of the curve. With subtle light-reflecting Wheels and a special Nissan x FaZe Clan Decal, let’s take a look at what the in-game Bundle includes.
