The summer is upon us (well, most of us) and that means it’s time for Summer Game Fest 2025—and not just that Bacchanalian celebration of all things video games, but also a slew of other ancillary events, from Day of the Devs to The Mix to the Future Games Show.

Anyway you slice it, if you love video games (and who doesn’t?), you’re going to love June, especially the first half of the month.

Play Days

Following the Summer Game Fest showcase and the subsequent Day of the Devs dive into all things indie games, the press are invited to “Play Days,” a collection of booths where attendees can check out some of the games announced or showcased during the show. Sometimes that means playing the game, sometimes it means interviews, and best-case scenario it means both.
