Why Early Access?
Feud is our first game! Our Early Access release represented what we thought was a good baseline for what the game should be - it had single player vs. AI, local multiplayer and basic async online multiplayer.
Since the launch in May 2019, Early Access has helped us do our development "in the open", ensuring that we can chat to our players about what it is they want, feature-wise.
Since then we've added a proper invite system, achievements, six additional languages, live multiplayer, unlockable avatar costumes, a concede button, and lots of other small balance changes and quality-of-life improvements to the experience.
In the future, driven by our community feedback, we're planning to add ranked play, unlockable piece cosmetics, and probably other things depending on whatever additional feedback we get! We also have some more languages we want to support.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
We work on this game in our spare time, so development is slower than it would be from a studio with a budget. Feud has currently been in Early Access for around 3 years, but we plan to reach full release some time this year.
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
The game is pretty stable (we think!) and runs quite smoothly. It had these features at the initial Early Access release:
- Single-player vs. three AI personalities at two difficulties each
- Local (shared-screen) multiplayer
- Online (asynchronous) multiplayer
- A tutorial
Since then, we've added:
- Invites
- Live (not async) multiplayer
- A concede button
- Achievements
- Support for French, German, Italian, Romanian, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese.
Early Access is, for us, more about making the game feature complete than making it work. Of course, we're always on the lookout for bugs!
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
We have a very active community on our Discord server. We run regular tournaments and get lots of lovely feedback. Come hang out with us!
