Firelight Fantasy: Vengeance

RESENTMENT

I'm not happy that Sigurd deceived you and me, ”Brunhild objected. - Know that he betrayed your friendship. If you don't kill Sigurd, you will hurt me even more with this! the Valkyrie replied sternly. - I give you three days.

A DOUBT

Listen, Gunnar, - he said quietly, - you want to commit a dishonorable act that will bring us a lot of misfortune. The three of us were invincible, and without Sigurd, the enemies would soon invade our country again. I know: you love Brunhild and are afraid of losing her, but it is even more terrible to lose your faithful friend. I repeat that I do not believe in Wolsung's dishonesty. Although, - he added still quietly, - maybe you are captivated by the thought of his treasures?

MEETING WITH SIGURD

When he reached the door of Wolsung's bedroom, the king's half-brother stopped and listened, but he heard only the even breathing of the sleeping man. Then he opened the door and for several minutes gazed motionlessly at Sigurd's beautiful face and his golden curls. But the most interesting is just ahead. What fate awaits Sigurd?
