Lightyear Frontier contains content that is unrated and may not be appropriate for all ages.

The Early Access version includes the Outset Grasslands section of the game world, with several resources and plants to use for construction and farming. Also included is the beginning of the first act of the game's story.

The game is currently in the internal Alpha stage, we will update this entry with a more detailed description as we get closer to the Early Access release.

Our current plan is to spend about a year and a half in Early Access, but we also embrace the fact that plans can and will change the moment we start getting feedback.

Our update cadence will adapt to the size and complexity of the content being developed but we aim to release multiple minor and major patches per year. Our primary goal is to keep the updates coming at a steady pace and reach full release once our players agree the game is ready.

Our goal is for the updates to be additive and therefore keep saves intact throughout the Early Access period all the way to full release. However, if the feedback we receive from the players leads us to reworking any of the game’s systems, we cannot guarantee the save files will remain compatible. In this event we would of course give all players a clear warning ahead of time.

As the game will more than double in content over the course of Early Access, the full release will come with an increase in price. However, we will clearly communicate the specifics of the price change well ahead of release to give players the opportunity to purchase before it happens.
