When will the game leave Early Access?
No release date has been set yet.
It will happen when UI and optimization are on the proper level
The best guess would be mid or late 2025.
What is included in Early Access?
Main game mode - 18 rounds of rogue-like encounters with 4 templates for regular combat, 3 templates for boss encounters, and 1 template for final boss.
A system of 12 different classes, each providing specific bonuses and penalties to all units of that class.
~50 possible units to add to the deck defined by their classes.
Forge to improve units with ~10 different recipes.
Skill tree with ~400 nodes to gain additional bonuses.
~20 trinkets - rewards from boss encounters that grant powerful and sometimes even game-changing effects.
What is the current state of the game?
Technically the game is mostly functional.
There may be some performance issues as optimization is not done yet. There are some animation placeholders in place, sometimes this can look bad. Some UI is still not finalized and is subject to be improved.
There may be occasional typos or incorrect descriptions.
Balance-wise, the game has a decent amount of working builds, not every interaction on the tree and not every unit class are viable, but build diversity is decent.
There are 4 templates for regular combats, 3 templates for boss encounters, and 1 template for final boss encounters. This should be enough to make gameplay diverse enough and test different aspects of the builds.
Most of the abilities are already in the game, some may be changed, and there may be a few new ones to support weaker builds, but no major changes are expected.
How often will you be updating the game?
Small balance changes/bug fixes would probably happen a few times a month. Changes with significant improvements and content updates should happen once every 1.5 - 2 months.
Will my progress be saved during updates?
As of now, the game doesn't have anything saved between runs. Existing saves within the run should be safe for minor balance updates, however, major updates may brick some of the old saves. If this would happen there would be notification a few days in advance.
When the progress between runs is added, new updates won't affect that progress.
