Why Early Access?
Our studio was founded on a belief in the power of community feedback for helping to build our games. We have a 3-game plan and Early Access features in every step of that journey.
Prologue: Go Wayback! is the studio's first game, and a testbed for our in-house terrain generation technology. This tech creates a vast number of realistic and challenging maps, making the game deeply replayable but making it a challenge for conventional methods of testing and improvement. Early Access participants, alongside our developers, will set out to discover these terrains and their feedback will help shape the world we're creating, help add new game features, help balancing difficulty, and help in any number of other ways based on feedback. We’re doing something new and are excited for the journey.
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
One year (approximately).
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
The exact direction of the full release will be shaped in collaboration with our community. Shortly after Early Access launches, we plan to hold a community vote to guide our first significant update.
That said, we of course have some ideas in mind. Head to our Discord to join the discussion.
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
The Early Access build is foundational, it includes a core survival gameplay loop, advanced ML-powered terrain generation, dynamic weather systems, and a selection of survival systems and mechanics for players to explore, learn, and engage with.
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
We haven’t decided.
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
Discussion, playtests, surveys, feedback—and more discussion! Through Discord, our studio has an open door to our community, all of our developers can interact directly with players there. The result is that community input significantly influences both our planning and day-to-day development.
