How do seasons work? What's Included?

Spellborne is a live game, which is set to receive future content updates once a quarter at a minimum. These updates bring new content, new events and new monsters.

You are not required to purchase anything to access the single player storyline. The game is free-to-play.

Our proprietary blockchain technology enables players to truly own their in-game items, skins, monsters, and land. Players can trade these items using MON, the utility token used in the game.

What utility does this bring to the product?

Spellborne relies on a player-created game economy. Players can trade various items, monsters, and skins in the marketplaces, as well as rent out their land to other players. Create tournaments with prizes and more. We expect that by enabling true ownership, more players will create more content, thus making Spellborne a more rich and diverse experience.

Does this product require me to connect an external wallet? What wallets does this product support?

No, the game does not require players to create or connect with any external wallets. Players can sign up using trusted and known methods such as Google, and Apple ID. However, players are able to optionally link self-custody wallets to their Spellborne account.

Can I use the product without interacting or engaging with blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency?

Yes, players can play the full Spellborne game without interacting or engaging with blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency.

What chain does this product use? Is the chain proof-of-work or proof-of-stake?

Spellborne is built on an Avalanche subnet, which is a proof-of-stake chain. Proof-of-stake chains use dramatically less energy than proof-of-work, and do not use methods such as mining.

Does this product have a marketplace? What can I do with the things that I earn (or purchase)?

Yes, this product has multiple marketplaces where players can buy and sell in-game content including monsters, skins, items and more. That content is not locked to Spellborne, other developers can choose to integrate those assets into their games.

Do I have to understand blockchain?

No. While blockchain technology enables Spellborne's advanced economy and item ownership for players, but you don't need to know or learn about Blockchain to play.
