Level up without limits!
There is no level cap in Tibia - if you put in the work, you can keep leveling up your character forever and ever. And levels aren't just mere numbers: You will feel your character getting stronger every time you level up. Other players will notice it, too, not least because they will see you moving faster (unless you're just too quick for them). There is no limit to improving character skills, either, and you can hoard as much gold and resources as you like. No matter what you do or how long you play, you will always get better.
Beware, however - making progress in Tibia is not a walk in the park. You may suffer setbacks along the way, but in the end, it's down to you. Besides, you can be sure that the game will always respect the effort and time you've put in. Even if you pause for a long time, your characters will be just as strong as the day you left them, and will be so forever. Not everyone in Tibia can be a hero, but if you work hard to become stronger, richer and better, you will certainly feel like one.
Explore decades of content!
The lovingly crafted fantasy world of Tibia has been continuously expanded, developed, and improved since 1997, and even more content continues to be added, with two big annual updates bringing new quests, areas, features, gameplay mechanics, and lore. There's more than enough content for whatever you enjoy doing in an MMORPG: tackling complex boss fights with a team or grinding solo at your own pace, dominating others in PvP or using your economic wits in the marketplace, decorating your house cozily or min-maxing your hunting sessions.
You can play Tibia for free for as long as you want, but if that is not enough for you, you can upgrade to a Premium Account to unlock even more content and possibilities. Updates aren't just aimed at high-level players, and great care is taken to make sure old content remains relevant and offers more than just nostalgic charm. There are so many passionately crafted elements in Tibia that no player has truly seen them all. Some mysteries remain unsolved even after years – maybe you'll be the one to finally solve them?
Master high-stakes combat!
Dying in Tibia means losing some of your hard-earned experience points, skills and possibly even valuable items, so combat is a risky affair that will be sure to crank up your adrenaline. The strategy you choose to approach a fight and the decisions you make in the heat of battle will decide whether you celebrate an exhilarating victory or suffer a bitter defeat. Learn from the mistakes you're bound to make to achieve true mastery and become a feared warrior!
Positioning is key in battle. Try not to get trapped or you may find yourself being killed by enemies that would have been easy prey otherwise. On game worlds that allow PvP, other players can also block tiles, making the battlefield appear like a huge, action-packed chessboard. Still, you and your friends are certainly not going to be stopped by someone shouting, 'You shall not pass!' – or are you?
Leave a mark on your world!
Each game world in Tibia is home to thousands of players who know and support - or challenge - each other. There are no shards that separate players and no instances to escape into, which helps to foster the formation of true communities. Everything is very much in the hands of the players, even where PvP is optional: each game world has its own customs, identity, and history, and every world offers you the chance to make a name for yourself: respected by friends, feared by enemies and known by all.
Players also control their worlds' economies: Almost anything in the game can be traded and sold – even characters! Whether you sell a rare item for profit or display it proudly in your house is up to you, but people will be sure to notice. Both cooperation and competition are at the heart of the game. Level up with your friends, but faster than they do. Join a guild to destroy another. Try not to end up as the villain on your path to becoming a hero – unless you want to!
