Why Early Access?
We very firmly believe in making rock solid games and that definitely involves the players and our community. Early Access is the perfect way to involve the community and give them a direct hands-on experience with the game and the power to shape it to the better with their valuable feedback. This way, we can ensure that the quality of the game rises and players get to see more of what they desire from the title.
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
Hard to say, as we ourselves consider Degenheim to be an ever-evolving and ever-expanding title. We aim to add new content continuously, whether it's in Early Access or outside of it. However we do think it's a pretty safe bet that Early Access could take another year.
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
The core concept of the game should remain the same, however the game upon its full release should be much more content-rich. New chapters, challengers, playable characters, scaling & progression mechanisms, possible exploration of PvP... There's so much we have envisioned, however we want to pace it reasonably and prioritize hand-in-hand with our community's feedback.
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
We haven't made any definitive plans and decisions regarding this topic, as there are still multiple variants on the table. We want to base these on the performance of the game in Early Access and the feedback of our community as well. So far we have no plans on any significant price changes upon release, the game will most-likely be Free to Play or have a very low price tag.
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
We definitely want to involve the community a lot. We consider their feedback invaluable, especially during Early Access, where they can literally shape the game to the better and more to their liking. Whether in Early Access or after it, we intend to create events in our Community Discord server, where the community can heavily contribute in various contests, designing items, talents, events, enemies, possibly even bosses and more.
