How does this product use blockchain, NFTs, or cryptocurrency?
The main goal of the game is to leverage blockchain technology to drive an esports experience centered around on-chain competitive gaming.
Pioneer Avatar NFTs: These serve as governance assets, allowing holders to participate in the game's governance decisions.
Hero Card NFTs: These are used for token generation, allowing players to earn in-game tokens by using the hero cards.
Skin NFTs: These are both showcase assets and provide attribute boosts. Players can enhance their heroes' abilities by owning and using these skins.
In addition to the traditional ladder mode, the game will periodically host on-chain esports tournaments that offer token or game point rewards. The registration requirements for these tournaments vary, including both free registration and tournaments that require token consumption for entry.
Does the game have in-app purchases?
The game currently does not have in-app purchases.
Can I use the product without interacting or engaging with blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency?
Yes, players can enjoy the core gameplay of the game without interacting with blockchain. The right to use heroes can be unlocked by earning free FP(FaithPoint) through regular matches.
What chain does this product use? Is the chain proof-of-work (PoW) or proof-of-stake (PoS)?
The Hero Card NFTs, Skin NFTs, and Battle Flag NFTs in AOF are deployed on the IMX mainnet, while the Pioneer Avatar NFTs are deployed on the ETH mainnet. Both IMX and ETH are proof-of-stake (PoS) blockchains.
Does this product have a marketplace? What can I do with the items I earn (or purchase)?
AOF integrates a third-party NFT marketplace, primarily for the trading and exchange of Pioneer Avatar NFTs, Hero Skin NFTs, and Hero Card NFTs between players.
What is the purpose of the AOF Pioneer Avatar NFT?
The Pioneer Avatar NFT is a governance asset within the AOF game ecosystem. It can be traded in the marketplace, and owning an Avatar grants the user voting rights in the game's governance DAO. In addition, owning the Avatar provides several benefits, including:
Doubled leaderboard rewards
Doubled FP rewards in regular matches
Weekly free skin redemption opportunities
and other in-game privileges.
I heard that Hero Card NFTs are important. What are they? Do I need them?
Hero Card NFTs are key assets in the AOF game. Each card represents a hero and allows you to unlock the hero for use in the game. Each Hero Card has a set number of usage days, with the full duration being 30 days. Every 23 hours, when a player uses a Hero Card in the game, 1 day of usage will be deducted, converting into 5 temporary stamina points. For example, with a Golden Hero Card, using 1 stamina point in a match will yield 4.73 ACP. Once the Hero Card's usage days are exhausted, you will need to consume ACP to recharge it and continue using it to generate ACP.
How can I obtain Hero and Skin NFTs in AOF?
You can unlock the use of all heroes through the AOF Pioneer Avatar NFTs, or by purchasing and using Hero Card NFTs to obtain the right to use specific heroes. Each hero has different skins, which can be acquired by directly purchasing Skin NFTs on the marketplace. Alternatively, you can consume ACP to purchase Skin Mystery Boxes, obtain Skin Fragments, and then combine those fragments to craft specific hero skins. Skins come in various rarities, and not only do they change the appearance of the hero, but each skin also provides small attribute boosts.
What is a Battle Flag NFT?
A Battle Flag NFT is a customizable, showcase-type game asset. Users can upload their own images to create a personalized battle flag. Once equipped, players can plant their battle flag on the ruins of enemy towers after destroying them in the game.
What is the ACP token? What can I use it for?
ACP (AOF Competitive Points) is the main cryptocurrency that drives the AOF game economy. You can use ACP tokens to purchase Mystery Boxes, forge and upgrade Skin NFTs, and participate in other reward-related activities. ACP is essential for engaging in various AOF activities, including competition entry fees and purchasing/synthesizing NFTs.
What game modes does AOF have? How can I participate in competitions?
AOF offers several game modes, with the most common being the 5v5 battle mode. Players are divided into two teams, each selecting different heroes to fight against each other. In the game, players must cooperate to destroy the enemy’s main crystal while earning points by killing enemy soldiers and neutral monsters. AOF also features globally interconnected servers, supporting cross-platform play, allowing players from different devices to compete against one another. Additionally, AOF regularly hosts events and tournaments where players can participate to win ACP rewards and other tokens or virtual items.
