Delta Force currency guide: Delta Coins, Tickets, and Mandelbricks explained
Free-to-play shooter Delta Force has so much content compared to some of the other FPS games out there, but that variety can be overwhelming for new players. This is especially true for the game’s array of currencies—both free and paid—that are used to unlock new weapons, skins, operators, and more. It doesn't help that some of the currencies share similar naming schemes too.
New Delta Force players have a lot of terms to learn, but everything actually makes much more sense after spending an hour or two with the game. If you're overwhelmed, don't worry. Here's a brief rundown of every currency in Delta Force plus the best methods to stock up on them.
Delta Coins
Every free-to-play game has a premium currency, and Delta Force is no exception. Delta Coins are the primary paid currency in Delta Force. You can use these to buy skins from the shop or unlock premium Season Pass tiers.
You can get 60 Delta Coins for a dollar, but there's a better value in larger bundles since they give "bonus" Delta Coins that make the exchange rate a bit easier to swallow. You can't earn Delta Coins through gameplay, but there's thankfully another currency that can be used to buy things from the in-game store.
Watch out for scams with Delta Coins! Some websites offer Delta Coins at discounted or reduced rates, but they're all really shady and go against the game's terms of service. Do not use these websites. Sometimes people will advertise them in global chat, but those aren't official links. Just ignore them.
Delta Tickets
Delta Tickets are basically the same as Delta Coins, only they're not purchased with real money. Instead, Delta Tickets are obtained from market transactions.
Delta Force’s market is a completely separate entity from the usual in-game shop. The market is where players can sell their skins and cosmetics to other players at varying prices. These are bought with Delta Coins, but that’s not the main draw of the market.
The market is also where you can sell unwanted Mandelbricks (loot boxes with cosmetics inside) in exchange for Delta Tickets. This is the main purpose of the market for most Delta Force players. You can also get Delta Tickets as rewards from the Season Pass as well, so don’t neglect challenges and events.
Only a limited number of Delta Tickets can be claimed from the Season Pass, so selling Mandelbricks is the main way to farm them. Unless you really want the featured gacha skins, the Delta Tickets you can get from selling Mandelbricks are much more valuable since they can be exchanged directly for whatever skin you want in the store. It'll still take a while to save up for a skin you want, but at least there's no RNG to worry about.
The only thing to worry about with Delta Tickets are rare store exceptions. While Delta Tickets can buy just about anything in the shop, some skins must be purchased with Delta Coins. This restriction is usually reserved for the rarest and most expensive cosmetics, however, so you shouldn't run into too many roadblocks if you just want to unlock a skin for your favorite weapon.
Mandelbricks
As mentioned above, Mandelbricks are loot boxes that contain cosmetics. If you've played gacha games before, then you already have an idea of how the Mandelbrick system works in Delta Force.
Mandelbricks feature special skins for a specific five-star character, similar to what you’d find in a gacha banner. Opening a Mandelbrick has a very small chance of rewarding you with that featured skin, but you'll likely have to open dozens of them before you get lucky. There are other rewards in the Mandelbrick prize pools to keep you hooked, though, and there's a pity system that guarantees you’ll get the featured skin after 75 openings.
Mandelbricks can be purchased outright with Mandel Coins (more on that down below), but you can also earn them through gameplay. In Warfare mode, you have a chance to get a Mandelbrick if you rank in the top 25% of the lobby. In Operations mode, Mandelbricks can appear as loot that players can extract.
Unfortunately, these free methods are capped, and you can't farm an unlimited number of Mandelbricks just by playing the game. If you really want to get the featured skins, you'll need to spend some cash on Delta Coins. The Mandelbrick economy is always changing, so it's a good idea to wait until prices drop to get the most bang for your buck.
Mandel Coins
Mandel Coins are a special currency used to purchase Mandelbricks. You can get these by converting paid Delta Coins at a 1:1 ratio.
It may seem strange that there's a coin specifically used to buy Mandelbricks that are valued 1:1 with Delta Coins, but the Mandelbrick market is volatile. The price fluctuates all the time, so Mandel Coins are separate from Delta Coins to make everything easier to keep track of. Mandel Coins cannot be used for anything else, so don't exchange your Delta Coins unless you're sure you want to buy some Mandelbricks.
Tekniq Alloys
Tekniq Alloys are exclusively used in the extraction-based Operations game mode, so you can ignore this section if you're only interested in Delta Force for the large-scale Warfare matches. Operations is a lot of fun though, so we recommend giving it a try!
You can use Tekniq Alloys to buy gear from the auction house in Delta Force's Operations mode. Since the in-game economy is a huge part of extraction-based shooters, Operations has its own bespoke currency. That way, the extraction economy doesn't bleed into the rest of the game.
Selling stuff is the main way to earn Tekniq Alloys, so keep an eye out for rare loot while playing in Operations mode. Weapons and equipment are worth a lot, too, so don't be afraid to offload any extra gear that you don't need. You can lose everything at a moment's notice in Operations, though, so make sure you have some backup equipment just in case.
Completing missions will also reward you with huge chunks of Tekniq Alloys. Check the Departments tab of the Operations lobby to see what missions are available. You'll only have access to the Assault Battalion and Medical Bay at the start of the game, but new Departments will unlock as you level up by playing Operations.
Increasing your reputation with these Departments will unlock higher-level missions, which reward even more Tekniq Alloys, so try to keep these missions in mind whenever you deploy into an Operations match. They're optional, but the rewards will give you an edge over the competition and help you extract from your matches alive more often.
XP
Just like every other video game, Delta Force has an XP system for leveling up and earning new rewards as you play the game. Unlike Delta Force's other currencies, the XP system works exactly as you'd expect.
By playing matches, scoring kills, completing objectives, and crossing challenges off your list, you'll level up and get access to new weapons and equipment. You'll also level up your Season Pass along the way, netting you even more sweet rewards.
Everything you do in Delta Force earns you XP, but not all grinding methods are created equal. One of the best ways to farm XP is to choose Support when playing Warfare mode and focus on healing your allies. With some aid mixed into your normal gameplay, you'll earn way more XP than usual.
If you're playing Operations, just focus on getting out alive. Successful extractions reward a ton of XP, but there's no guarantee that you'll make it to the end of a match. It's a lot riskier, but the rewards are far greater. Just be prepared to lose everything in the blink of an eye. It's all a part of the extraction shooter experience.
