What is Parallel?

Parallel is a Sci-Fi Franchise and Trading Card Game (TCG) empowering collectors to truly own their cards and other game items. The cards can be used to build a deck and play in an online PC game which is currently in Open Beta.

What are the five Parallels?

A Parallel is one of the five streams of evolution that humans have undergone simultaneously. They are Augencore, Earthen, Kathari, Marcolian, and The Shroud. Each provides a specific playstyle within the TCG.

When will the game be released?

The game is currently in Open Beta.

What do you need to play Parallel?

You will need at least one (1) complete deck of a Parallel Faction. A deck consists of 40 cards from a single Parallel, plus Universal cards. Universal cards do not belong to any Parallel and may be used in all decks. Each deck is limited to three (3) copies of a card, except in the case of Legendary cards which are limited to one (1) copy. This limitation applies to both the deck’s Parallel-specific cards and Universal cards.

Decks can be composed from a mix of account-bound cards earned in-game, known as Apparitions, and tradable digital collectables. You can create multiple decks and are not limited to a single Parallel.

What does Parallel have to do with Digital Collectibles?

You do not need Digital Collectibles to play Parallel TCG. Each card is original 3D art of a character or object rendered by our staff artist and represented by a Digital Collectible (ERC-1155) on the Ethereum network. Owning the Digital Collectible version of the cards gives you the opportunity to earn PRIME. It may also be used to provide you different experiences outside of the Parallel TCG game. The purchase of this digital collectable is subject to our terms of service.

How were Parallel Digital Collectibles released?

Parallel Cards were released in Pack Drops. Our Final Pack Drop occurred on January 14th, 2023 thus completing the Parallel Base Set.

Can Parallel print more cards and affect the rarity of my cards?

Each Parallel card is unique to its edition size and that version’s supply cannot be increased. Future expansion sets won’t affect the scarcity of sets previously released, though may contain modified versions of earlier cards.

When are Parallel expansions released?

Parallel Studios intends to have 1-2 expansions per year.

Do I need a web3 wallet to participate in Parallel?

The game is Free to Play. It does not require a web3 wallet.

Are there items (such as additional content, offers or currency) for sale that are used in the gameplay of your product?

Yes, we have an in-game currency called Glints that can be used to purchase items such as the Battle Pass, Apparition (Non-NFT) Card Packs, Apparition (Non-NFT) Cosmetic items and in-game tournament tickets.

Can your product be used without making any in-app purchases?

Yes, Parallel is 100% free to play.

Are in-app purchases refundable?

No, we do not offer refunds.

What payment platform is used to facilitate in-game purchases?

We use Stripe, a 3rd-party payment system, present on our official website.

How is blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency used in Parallel?

We offer support for Digital Collectible versions of our playable cards which provide no in-game advantage. These Digital Collectible cards enable our win-to-earn mechanics as well as provide cosmetic enhancements. Our win-to-earn mechanic allows users to earn $PRIME, an ERC-20 token created by the Echelon Foundation. The distribution of this currency takes place on a 3rd-party site. We also offer support for Digital Collectible cosmetic items usable in-game.

What utility does this bring to the product?

By supporting Digital Collectibles we empower our users to have full ownership of their hard earned game assets. The Digital Collectible playable cards enable win-to-earn mechanics that allow users to earn the cryptocurrency $PRIME. The cryptocurrency $PRIME can be spent on in-game assets such as cosmetic items, playable cards, and tournament tickets on our official website.

Does this product require me to connect an external wallet? What wallets does this product support?

Digital Collectibles and crypto are optional for Parallel, which is otherwise free to play. If you want to access your Digital Collectibles or track your cryptocurrency earnings in-game you will need to connect an external wallet to your account on our official website. Supported wallets include: Rainbow, Coinbase Wallet, MetaMask, WalletConnect, OKX Wallet, Argent, and Trust Wallet.

Can I use the product without interacting or engaging with blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency?

Yes.

What chain does this product use? Is the chain proof-of-work or proof-of-stake?

This product uses Ethereum and Base (a layer-2 ethereum chain). Ethereum is a proof-of-stake chain.

Does this product have a marketplace? What can I do with the things that I earn (or purchase)?

Parallel does not have their own marketplace however the things that you earn or purchase are completely supported by their relative chains and any marketplaces that support them (for example Sanctuary or OpenSea). These Digital Collectibles enhance a user's ability to express themselves via cosmetics, or unlock the ability to earn $PRIME through ranked play.
