007 First Light: How to unlock James Bond’s coolest costumes

While you won’t be able to change Bond’s outfit of choice while making your way through the game’s campaign (don’t worry, he will automatically swap out his wardrobe throughout his globe-trotting adventure), there are plenty of unlockable costumes that you can try out in the game’s TacSim mode, which is bound to keep you busy long after the credits roll on the main story.
In fact, there are nearly 40 costumes to try on, and some of the most iconic outfits will require you to master the art of stealth and combat before you can get your hands on them. Don’t worry, though; our guide fully covers how to unlock 007 First Light’s coolest suits.
How to unlock costumes in 007 First Light
There are a handful of ways to unlock new outfits for Bond in 007 First Light, and the first method doesn’t even require you to play the game. A handful of costumes are not tied to the game’s story or TacSim challenge mode, but instead require you to sign in and connect to your IO Interactive account from the game’s front menu.
Once you’ve connected your account, you’ll gain access to a handful of outfits, including the gold-colored Gilded Tuxedo, the On Duty “tactleneck” and matching slacks, the stylish Operation Riviera ensemble, and the Savannah Bloom attire.

After you’ve linked your IO Interactive account, you can also choose to link the game with your personal Twitch account. Once you’ve done so, there are a few extra costumes you can unlock, but first, you’ll have to watch others play 007 First Light on Twitch.
- Purple Tuxedo: To unlock this stylish getup, you’ll have to watch one hour of 007 First Light.
- Silent Line: For this more casual attire, you’ll need to rack up two hours of watching 007 First Light.
- Resplendent Death: To get your hands on this black and gold carnival outfit, you’ll need to watch any officially partnered IO Interactive creators play 007 First Light on Twitch. To find an eligible creator, simply search “IOICreator” using Twitch’s search bar.
For those of you who’ve dabbled with IO Interactive’s Hitman series, you can instantly access the Midnight Ray suit if you own a copy of Hitman: World of Assassination. And for fans of Casino Royale, Le Chiffre’s trademark all-black Casino Suit can be unlocked if you’ve tried your hand at the Le Chiffre Elusive Target contract.
TacSim costume unlocks
Once you’ve played through the game’s opening missions, you’ll be able to access the TacSim mode from the main menu, which serves as 007 First Light’s challenge mode of sorts. Taking place across levels and scenarios from the main story, TacSim acts as a proving ground, letting you test your proficiency in stealth and combat in order to earn Intel, increase your Clearance Level, and in turn unlock gadget upgrades, weapon skins, and, of course, new outfits for Bond to try out.
A small handful of costumes can be unlocked by ranking up Bond’s clearance and spending your hard-earned Intel:
- TacSim Outfit: This dapper ensemble can be purchased for 1,000 Intel.
- Event Staff Uniform: This versatile work outfit can be purchased for 2,000 Intel once Bond has reached a clearance level of 6.
- Chessmaster Suit: This tuxedo requires a clearance level of 12, after which it can be bought for 3,000 Intel.
- While each of the TacSim Escalation missions features three tiers of escalating difficulty, you don’t need to keep making attempts if you’re running into trouble. Bounce around to new missions as needed, as you’ll be racking up Intel and XP regardless.
- You might be tempted to hoard your Intel to spend on costumes, but Bond doesn’t start with his usual arsenal in TacSim. You’re far better off investing in your favorite weapons and gadgets to help you make progress. Don’t fret, you’ll earn that Intel back as you continue playing.
- Aside from completing TacSim missions, keep an eye out on each of a mission’s list of challenges, which usually task you with completing a mission with certain limitations, such as refraining from using weapons or dispatching enemies in specific ways. While you’ll likely need to replay a given mission multiple times to knock out all of its associated challenges, it’s a great way to quickly accrue Intel and XP.

Main story costume unlocks
While you won’t be unlocking many costumes by simply playing through 007 First Light’s story (with the lone exception being Bond’s Kensington Outfit), there are nearly a dozen costumes that can be acquired by completing a set of challenges specific to each of the campaign’s main missions.
- Iceland Outfit: Complete all eight challenges in Against the Odds.
- Malta Training Outfit: Complete all 11 challenges in A New Home.
- Chauffeur Uniform: Complete all 26 challenges in All the Time in the World.
- Mauritania Outfit: Complete all 23 challenges in The Past Never Dies.
- Funeral Outfit: Complete all 29 challenges in Uninvited.
- White Tux: Complete all 23 challenges in Knightfall.
- Resort Casual Outfit: Complete all 23 challenges in Time to Die.
- Polar Outfit: Complete all 25 challenges in Wave of the Future.
- Track Suit: Complete all 16 challenges in For England.
- Agent Outfit: Complete all challenges in the main story.
We won’t lie: Knocking out every single one of these challenges is not for the faint of heart, but if you’re willing to go the distance, we recommend picking a few challenges to target before starting a mission and focusing solely on completing them. Once you know those out, you can pick a few more, rinse, and repeat.
Deluxe Edition costume unlocks

For the completionists out there, a handful of costumes can be unlocked by purchasing the Deluxe Edition of 007 First Light. Upon booting up the game, you’ll have access to the Desert Explorer, Silent Anchor, and Gentleman Operator outfits.
The Deluxe Edition also includes the fan-favorite Day of the Dead costume, which pays homage to the iconic Baron Samedi from the 1973 film Live and Let Die.
007 First Light and its Deluxe Edition are both available for purchase right now on Epic Games Store. Any pre-purchase or purchase of 007 First Light on Epic Games Store will grant you the 007's Aston Martin DB5 (Obsidian Gold) Wheel in Rocket League and Fortnite from May 07, 2026 at 8 PM ET.
