Delving deeper into the Enhanced Edition, we’ll try to provide a sneak peek into the features we’re implementing. 

We also made the conscious decision to keep this update free for all existing Raji players because this was for the fans. The way we see it, if it were not for them, we wouldn’t be here. And so, this made total sense to the dev team to embark on another journey. It also gave the team the opportunity to address elements each department wanted to include in the original but couldn’t do due to budgetary and time restrictions. And it’s incredible to think of what we’ve amassed to date, 36 accolades, including 10 wins since launching back in August 2020. And this is largely due to the unweaving support we’ve received over the years from the community.

Hindi Voiceovers were in demand from many of the players, most noticeably from India. It seemed only natural to accommodate and allocate time and a budget for voiceovers. When Raji released, managing the whole process of voiceovers take a lot of time, finding the right voice for your characters is crucial, as is the emotional context. We were fortunate, one of the original actors has such skills and an abundance of talent that we were able to voice a lot of the characters. As was the case for the female actor, she did a stellar job, both complementing one another, but this was not without its challenges. Covid limited movement, therefore getting to the studio to record was almost impossible. And so, we had to adapt, recording made from makeshift set-ups in their respective homes. Again, there were inconsistencies with the recorded output, this is where our sound engineer/composer stepped in, guiding set ups and whilst working his magic on the raw data. The results speak for themselves, it’s truly amazing when these elements come together in a final product. 

The Enhanced Edition contains a lot of features: Hindi Voiceover, six Indian regional languages (Assamese, Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil), added as subtitles, RTX and DLSS, game difficulty modes, easy, normal, hard, and story mode. Level Select and One shot one kill have also been added. There’s new AI variants and improvements to existing AI, along with new boss abilities and much improved boss fights. The game pacing has been revisited, we’ve also added new execution animations, along with improved and new SFXs. The UI improvements, and many other gameplay improvements, lastly, there were several bug fixes.

It's a comprehensive list of updates, many Raji players will recall that the above features [some of which we added because we too wanted them in], was requested from the community. We felt that if we don’t deliver on the above and more, not only will we be falling short of our own expectations, but the fans will be bitterly disappointed. And that’s the last thing we wanted, we’ve been mindful of our community and fan base throughout this additional development cycle. And we hope we’ve managed to answer or at least provide the feedback we received.

Several of the above features took time to develop, some more than we had anticipated and a few of the team members contracted Covid, so, unfortunately these factors contributed to further delays. But what we will say is that the community has been extremely patient, and it’s truly appreciated. 

Raji’s Enhanced Edition also adds RTX and DLSS. This was great to work on since we saw instant results in the RTX and DLSS ON/OFF. The visuals were more than satisfactory, it was a breath of fresh air. And the credit goes to the programmers and tech artists for pushing boundaries. 

Several improvements and overhauls, made not just to the gameplay. We’ve introduced new mechanics, new AI variants, pacing, improved boss fights, combat SFX and VFX had much needed revisions. All in all, we’re expecting to surprise the players, while addressing the complaints. However, we know we won’t please everyone, how can you, but it’s certainly not for the lack of trying.
