For those who don’t know much about Death Stranding, here’s a quick rundown…
Developed by Kojima Productions, Death Stranding was one of the most anticipated titles of the last decade. Death Stranding takes place in the near future, where mysterious explosions have rocked the planet, setting off a series of supernatural events. You play as Sam Bridges (a porter for BRIDGES) who’s on a quest to reconnect America, by linking cities cross the Chiral Network through strands. With spectral creatures plaguing the landscape, and the planet on the verge of a mass extinction, it’s up to Sam to journey across the ravaged wasteland to save mankind from impending annihilation.
Since we announced the PC edition of Death Stranding back in 2019, we’ve said our plan is to release in Summer 2020. Well today, we can be a little more specific. Death Stranding will launch on the Epic Games Store on June 2, 2020. (Not too long to wait, right?)
But that’s not all!
At launch, Death Stranding will also include a bunch of all-new features, never seen before in-game. Features will include a high frame rate, ultra-wide monitor support and photo mode, something we know this community desperately want. We cannot wait to see what you, the Sam “Porter” Bridges of the world, capture in-game on your quest to reconnect America.
