Double Dragon Trilogy is a single app that combines three classic beat ‘em up arcade games. 

Double Dragon Trilogy includes the original Double Dragon from 1987, 1988's Double Dragon II: The Revenge, and 1990's Double Dragon 3: The Rosetta Stone. In every game, the concept is brutally simple: Step into the shoes of Billy and Jimmy Lee, and punch, kick, headbutt, knee, and wallop your opponents into oblivion. 

Double Dragon Trilogy is much more than a straightforward port of vintage arcade titles though. The developers at DotEmu took the series’ transition to mobile as a challenge to update and expand the games for modern mobile devices. 

Each game includes two modes. In Arcade, you play like you would standing at an arcade cabinet, completing each game’s campaign and competing for a high score. In Story, you’ll unlock new achievements and stages while playing through the campaigns. 

Double Dragon Trilogy also has customizable controls to smooth the transition from sticks and buttons to tappable glass, or you can take advantage of built-in controller support. DotEmu even tuned the games, introducing three difficulty levels for players of different skill levels. For the Mobile difficulty setting, each game is balanced for a smartphone experience. On Original difficulty, you’ll play the games the way they were presented in the arcade. Expert difficulty, meanwhile, is tuned to challenge even Double Dragon veterans. 

And of course, no beat 'em up is complete without a killer soundtrack. Double Dragon Trilogy lets you punch your way through each stage while listening to the original soundtracks, or you can check out newly remastered versions.
