A brand-new update for Cyberpunk 2077 is now available!

Considering this update appears just in time for the premiere of CD PROJEKT RED and Studio Trigger’s Netflix anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, it’s no surprise that the two share a name, but they have plenty more in common! The anime features David Martinez, a down-on-his-luck street kid who teams up with a group of mercenaries making their name in Night City, and a keen-eyed player might spot some links to pivotal scenes from the show thanks to the Edgerunners Update — also known as Patch 1.6. You can also expect some new items that’ll really bring the two worlds together, like an Edgerunners-style jacket and a shotgun that belonged to characters from the show. Beyond this connection, there’s plenty more to expect from the update, so here’s a look into some of the features coming to the game.
The highly community-requested transmog system is here! Players can now don their coolest apparel without sacrificing their builds. The transmogrification system, or Wardrobe as we call it, is available from any of V’s safe houses, both at their own pads and that of their romantic partners. You can create up to six custom outfits and access them directly from your inventory, meaning V can have pre-prepared fits for any situation. The Wardrobe utilizes holograms to project the clothing onto V, meaning that their stats aren’t affected by what they’re wearing anymore. Style is everything in Night City, and now it comes with substance.
Roach Race is perhaps one of the most beloved Easter eggs sprinkled across Night City, and now the Edgerunners Update makes it a playable minigame in — and out of — Cyberpunk 2077. Those looking to kill some time between gigs can head over and give the arcade game a whirl, with unique prizes and Eddies available for the top scorers. Powering down PC doesn’t mean the end of playing, though — Roach Race is available for iOS and Android smartphones as well.
The Edgerunners Update is bringing another important — and useful — feature. Cross-platform progression is now available for players, meaning you can save your progress to the cloud and pick up the latest save seamlessly on either PC or consoles. Equally important: Nibbles! Players have captured some incredible shots, and now their adopted cat can take the spotlight as well. Once you’ve “fed teh cat” and adopted him, he’ll be available to pose for you in Photo Mode. Of course, there’s even more in the form of additional gigs and weapons, so even those who have maxed out their achievements will have a few new things to discover. From its anime connections to its technical upgrades, this update has so many new features we’re excited for players to get their hands on — see you in Night City!
