Time to play our cards right, this week’s Epic MEGA Sale free game is Marvel's Midnight Suns. 

Firaxis Games are masters at creating tactical titles with a hint of heart (everyone gets sad when an XCOM character gets killed), and with Marvel's Midnight Suns they made one of their best. 

You’re the Hunter, a new hero teaming up alongside Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Wolverine, and others to fight Hydra in turn-based card battles. Position allies and play cards from a deck to attack the supervillains and their minions. Each fight is a mini-movie, where Wolverine slices and dices, or whacks enemies with street lights. 

Outside of missions, the player can spend time at the Abbey, a HQ for the heroes that’s full of things to do. Mission preparation is the obvious pastime, where you can research, upgrade, and unlock cards. Training in the yard will help you boost your abilities. 

But there’s more than that. Good team cohesion also comes via the friendships you make during this time, too. You can do that by hanging out with other heroes. Play games with Iron Man, stargaze with Captain Marvel. Who knew Wolverine was into birdwatching? You can even sign-up to a superhero only social media site, SuperLink, and enjoy the unfiltered thoughts of Deadpool. It’s surprisingly cozy.
