Dead by Daylight is a bonafide horror hall of fame at this point with a roster of horror icons that spans decades, and the new Bloodbound update brings three more franchises into The Fog.

Bloodbound brings back the Attack on Titan crossover skins with new additions like the Attack Titan, plus an AOT-themed version of the fan-favorite 2v8 mode. On top of that, new skins themed around Alien are hitting the in-game shop, and Darkest Dungeon takes center stage on the new Rift Pass.

Attack on Titan 2v8

Attack on Titan is the headlining franchise for the Bloodbound update, but it's not the first time the popular anime has collaborated with Dead by Daylight. All of the outfits from the original AOT collab are back for a limited time, and they're joined by new additions like the Attack Titan skin for The Trapper.

Attack On Titan Collab Pack

Here's what you can expect from Dead by Daylight's newly-updated Attack on Titan Collection:

  • Dwight Fairfield - Eren's Uniform

  • Yui Kimura - Mikasa's Uniform

  • Jake Park - Levi's Uniform

  • Meg Thomas - Annie's Uniform

  • Felix Richter - Armin's Uniform

  • Kate Denson - Historia's Uniform

  • Zarina Kassir - Hange's Uniform

  • Ace Visconti - Kenny's Uniform

  • Jake Park - Cleaning Levi

  • Yui Kimura - Mikasa's Dark Uniform

  • Thalita Lyra - Sasha's Uniform

  • The Oni - Armored Titan

  • The Spirit - War Hammer Titan

  • The Trapper - Attack Titan

There are also free Attack on Titan rewards to earn in the returning 2v8 playlist, which pits a pair of killers against a souped-up squad of survivors with tweaked rules and abilities compared to Dead by Daylight's standard 1v4 formula.

2v8 is a huge hit every time it comes back to Dead by Daylight, so give it a shot while you can!  You can don one of the new skins to cosplay as your favorite Attack on Titan character, or you can just queue into 2v8 as a regular Survivor or Killer if you're not a fan.

The limited-time mode is a great way to learn the basics of Dead by Daylight since there are only a limited number of Killers to choose from and Survivors have a huge team to back each other up. If you want those Attack on Titan rewards, you only have to play a few rounds to complete the challenges!

Once you get the hang of things, you can jump into DBD's normal 1v4 modes to test out the rest of the roster. Speaking of 1v4, the Bloodbound update adds the ability to "Play While You Wait" if your Killer queue times are too long. With this new option enabled, you can play Survivor matches while saving your place in the Killer queue. That way, you won't be endlessly staring at the lobby screen.

There are also some much-appreciated changes to perks and powers in this update, preventing positive or negative modifiers from stacking too much. Now, Survivors and Killers will experience diminishing returns if they're relying too heavily on a single perk or power.

Darkest Dungeon Rift Pass

Rift Passes are the Dead by Daylight equivalent of Battle Passes, and the newest Rift is now open with the latest patch. The Ruin Rift Pass is filled with Darkest Dungeon-inspired cosmetics for a wide array of Killers and Survivors.
Darkest Dungeon Rift Pass Rewards

These are all the outfits you can claim from Dead by Daylight's Darkest Dungeon Rift Pass:

  • Jane Romero - Runway Ready

  • The Wraith - Periwinkle the Jester

  • David King - Highwayman's Tale

  • Zarina Kassir - Plague Doctor's Purpose

  • Nea Karlsson - Righteous Rebel

  • The Nurse - Collector's Curse

  • Meg Thomas - Hellion's Courage

  • The Blight - Prophet's Sight

  • Vittorio Toscano - Leper's Quest

  • The Knight - Weathered Armor

  • Jeff Johansen - Loyal Protector

  • Felix Richter - Arcane Architect

  • The Twins - Thicker Than Water

Some of these outfits are free, while others require the Premium Rift Pass. Dead by Daylight's Rifts are fairly easy to level up, and there are a ton of challenges available right now with 2v8 currently live. This Rift Pass will only be available for the next few weeks, so get started ASAP if you want to earn all the Darkest Dungeon cosmetics!

Alien Collection

While it's not as big of a collab as the others, Alien still gets some pretty notable additions in Dead by Daylight's Bloodbound update. The Alien Collection expands with two new outfits, and the previous Alien skins are still available in the shop.

William Hudson joins Dead by Daylight's Survivors as an iconic skin for Ellen Ripley. Iconic skins are basically new characters instead of simple outfits, complete with brand new voiceovers and animations. There's also a new Colonial Marine's Gear outfit for Gabriel Soma in this update, but it's not an iconic skin.

If you decide to splurge on some Auric Cells to pick up any of these new cosmetics, you may want to keep some saved for later. Even more skins are headed to Dead by Daylight in the coming weeks, including highly-anticipated outfits for popular Survivors like Vee Boonyasak and Lee Yun-Jin.
