The rumours were true! A new limited-time mode from the world of Fall Guys is coming to Fortnite. Crown Jam is an all-new 3v3 arcade sport where Beans tumble and dunk in an arena filled with hazards and Hype. We were given a sneak peek at the ballin’ new mode, which runs today through Feb 9.

Two sides line up in Crown Jam to throw or dunk the ball into the opposition’s basket. Join the pre-set teams—like the Bean City Birds or the Plunderdome Pirates—and drop in the arena with your squad looking to score. It's a simple idea, but if you know Fall Guys, you know that things will get very silly. 

It starts off with a mad dash for the ball, literally dropping into the court from above and tumbling towards it. Grabbing the ball puts you in prime position to attempt a shot or a team-splitting pass. You can score from anywhere, even your own half, so it’s always worth trying a speculative lob towards the basket. Even if you miss, you might just get the ball close enough for a Beanmate to follow up with a mid-air dunk, and helping will earn you some Hype. 

Tackling, passing, assisting, and scoring all build up Hype, which will give players access to game-changing abilities after filling their Hype meter. “Big Bean” will turn the player into a giant, making them unstoppable for a brief moment. “Bounce Pad” lets players leap across the map. “Confetti Crash” launches a homing missile that targets enemies. Use them wisely. Or, if that’s not an option, just use them chaotically. 

Crown Jam’s arena is crammed with Blunderdome-inspired obstacles. There are bouncy pads scattered around the sides, allowing Beans to bounce into the air for a spectacular dunk, a mid-air block, or just for fun. On the ground, there are ledges and dips, dizzying, rotating hazards that help or hinder. 

Beans tumble and collide, whizz through the air, dunk and block, grow and explode in fast-paced and high-scoring matches. With just five minutes per game, Crown Jam is perfect on-the-go Fall Guys fun.

Which also means you’ll earn some awesome rewards in no time at all. Crown Jam’s Ranked rewards will include Less Fallin’ More Ballin’ Jam Track and Crown Ball Back Bling. And players who finish five matches will find the Blue Plushie Bean Back Bling in their Locker!
