Fortnite Battle Royale’s latest Season takes place on an entire map inspired by The Simpsons. Fans will find this map packed with references to classic episodes and characters, and get to meet TV’s most famous family and their friends (and frenemies) as the Storm squeezes in.

Join me on an adventure around the map, highlighting some of Springfield’s most iconic sights below. Note: All of these pictures were taken using Fortnite’s in-game replay tool.

 

Evergreen Terrace

Is there anything more iconic than the pink family home at 742 Evergreen Terrace? We start our tour with this look at Fortnite’s newly imagined suburban sprawl. Each home is packed with visual jokes and collectible loot, making it one of the most detailed residential zones ever added to the Island. Even Ned Flanders’s perfectly trimmed lawn is here!

What you’ve seen in 2D is fully realized in playable space. Seeing this cartoon world come to life is pure nostalgia. Visit the family home and you’ll be met with meticulous detail in every room. And don’t forget to take a seat on the couch with four friends— you might be surprised! 

Take a step out back and you’ll see the treehouse, first added as a teaser for the full-blown Springfield map during Chapter 6 Season 4. Look closer and you’ll spot some clever references to episodes past.

 

Springfield Town Square

Right in the middle of the Island is the Springfield Town Square, which features shopping, entertainment, and—of course—the statue of Jebediah Springfield himself. If you’re feeling particularly embiggened, try shooting the statue’s head to reveal a hidden easter egg! 

Take a walk around the square and you’ll discover all kinds of shopping experiences, from King Toot’s Music Store to The Android’s Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop. Peak inside the card shop and you’ll find crossovers within crossovers. 

One of the largest explorable structures is the Aztec movie theatre! Inside, you’ll see some amazing Fortnite-inspired film posters, plus a massive theater room for all the movie buffs out there. 

 

Burns Manor

High atop the hills, overlooking all of Springfield, sits the luxurious Burns Manor. The manor occupies a massive swath of the playable map and contains vast hallways filled with tasteful iterations of Mr. Burns in statue form. What else can I say besides “Exceeelleeent…”

In the back sits the intricate hedge maze. Be careful not to get lost! The hounds are not to be trifled with. 

 

Springfield Nuclear Power Plant

Speaking of Mr. Burns, mosey up the street to the power plant where Homer works. The twin stacks can be seen from nearly everywhere on the map. 

Delve deeper into the heart of the operation, and you might stumble upon Homer’s place of work. Wait around long enough, and you might even get the chance to prevent all-out disaster by clicking the button on the console! 

 

The Gorge

The Springfield Gorge is home to all sorts of small points of interest, but none more attractive than the ramp from one side to the other. No skateboard handy, like Homer had? No problem, grab any vehicle you like and see if you can make the jump. (Helicopter evac is not available if you fall.)

And finally…who doesn’t love the great outdoors?

This is just a small look at what the new map has to offer. There are so many more easter eggs and references to The Simpsons’ legacy. If you’re in the mood for some good ol’ nostalgia, this is the place to be. And don’t forget to get yourself a steamed ham! (Definitely home-made.)
