Infinity Nikki 2.7 isn’t about dropping major lore or new regions. It’s about introducing lighthearted multiplayer moments for players to enjoy as a community after heavy-hitting story chapters in the latest updates. The 2.7 update Where Stars Yearn hints at the limited-time events taking place at the Sea of Stars. There, Nikki and her companions reflect on her journey so far and join fellow stylists in friendly competition.

Even if you’re not much of a social butterfly, you can still participate in the events on your own and take advantage of limited-time rewards. Here’s what to expect from Infinity Nikki 2.7 and how to make the most of the Where Stars Yearn update.

How to Start the Event-Exclusive Quest

To gain access to the latest content, you have to complete the quest Every Moment, Countless Journeys first. You can initiate the quest from the Events page under the New Story banner and find the quest marker in the Sea of Stars. Alternatively, you can open the Quests page and navigate to the same quest under the Exclusive section. 

When opening the map, the quest marker should appear in the Dream Star Isles section of the Sea of Stars.


A teleportation point should be available for easy access if you unlocked all of them when the Sea of Stars first opened in Infinity Nikki 1.5. Follow the quest marker from that point until you see a Gifty, the yellow bird-like Infinity Nikki mascot, wearing star-shaped sunglasses on the sand. A cutscene will automatically trigger when you walk close enough to it.

Exploring the Summer Carnival Venue 

Follow Gifty’s instructions and explore the three parts of the summer carnival venue: the event stage, the door to the Music Space: Bubble, and the door to the Music Space: Fireworks. Just walk up to every objective marker within the area, and a cutscene will immediately start with Nikki voicing her thoughts about each place.

Every Moment, Countless Journeys is more of a flavor quest to introduce the social mechanics in the 2.7 update rather than a lengthy, character-driven story, so it could take as little as 10 minutes to complete. After that, you can freely roam the venue and participate in the Pick Your Dream Stage event. You can access the event details from Events > Starbound Journey > Pick Your Dream Stage.

Pick Your Dream Stage Event Explained

In Infinity Nikki 2.7, players are encouraged to participate in stage-building activities as part of the Pick Your Dream Stage event. It takes place between the two spaces: Music Space: Bubble and Music Space: Fireworks. 

• Music Space: Bubble - Like the name suggests, this space includes floating bubbles, bubble machines, and stage lights. You can plunge onto bubble machine switches to spout more bubbles and interact with stage lights to turn them on. You can find more orchestral, calming music here.

• Music Space: Fireworks - This space features a series of drum-shaped platforms that continuously bounce players into the air and CD-shaped ones that move with the energetic, electronic music. Players can also trigger fireworks with drop-powered buttons and light interactive sparklers. 

The Voting System & Rewards 

The event features three phases with different questions posed in each one, like “Which best captures the feelings during a journey?” In response, players infuse Heartstrings into either the Bubble or Fireworks meters to “vote” for an answer.

These spaces are powered by Heartstrings, which you can earn by playing mini-games and interacting with the environment within the Music Space: Bubble or Fireworks areas. You can infuse Heartstrings into either faction without locking yourself to either one. 

Even if you don’t care about the outcome between the Bubble and Fireworks factions, gather the maximum 24,000 Heartstrings to get the limited-time rewards from participating. Unfortunately, you can only earn 4,000 Heartstrings a day, so it will take nearly a week to do that. These rewards include Diamonds, Shiny Bubbles, Threads of Purity, and Blings. 

How to Earn Heartstrings Fast

How do you earn Heartstrings? You can enter either the Music Space: Bubble or Music Space: Fireworks and go to one of these three options.

Heartbeat Zone (Active Exploration) 

Each Music Space features its own “Heartbeat Zone” with interactive environments. Music Space: Bubble shines with a soothing, calm vibe and bubbles as its main theme. It houses a large lake at its center with floating bubbles that you can use to collect Heartstrings above the water. There, you can collect Heartstrings directly by flying through bubbles with music notes in them. 

Meanwhile, Music Space: Fireworks radiates with rock band energy and music to match. Instead of bubbles and water, it features drum-like platforms and CD-shaped buttons for triggering fireworks. You should see fireworks shooting into the sky shortly after landing on the CDs. Even better, you can earn Heartstrings while doing it!

Momo’s Dance Camp (Co-op Mini-Game) 

Momo’s Dance Game is a mini-game where you control Momo in a four-player dance competition. Both the Bubble and Fireworks areas have a dance camp you can access in the middle of the space. Depending on whether you are in the Bubble or Fireworks area, the music will vary from soothing to explosive. 

Nikki, dressed in the new Warm Miracles outfit, directs the crew of Momos to follow her dance steps in a Dance Dance Revolution-type fashion. After two beats, you press the WASD buttons corresponding to up, left, down, and right in the order Nikki demonstrates. 

A few pointers:

• The beginning of the song clearly labels the beats with numbers. If you listen closely, you will hear audio cues to indicate what counts as a beat. After those icons disappear, it’s up to you to follow Nikki’s moves two beats after.

• You don’t need to wait between Momo’s movements because he has no recovery frames. If you press the wrong button, you can quickly press another button immediately after it to keep up.

You can choose to play with NPC Momos or other players since it’s co-op mode. Note that the single-player mode is also faster, where each round could take as little as 1 to 2 minutes only. 

Rest Zone (Passive AFK Farming) 

Each Music Space includes a couple of couches that you can sit on to earn Heartstrings. To sit, just press F on your keyboard to watch the Heartstrings pile up on your counter. This is perfect for passively earning while you’re away from your computer, like when you’re doing chores in the background or taking a snack break.

In addition to the sources above, you can earn points by watching meteor showers in the shared Music Spaces. Meteor showers occur at fixed times each day, but it’s currently unclear when those times are. Players don’t need to do anything else; they earn points by simply being there.

If you forget how to earn Heartstrings, you can just go to Events > Pick Your Dream Stage > Heartstrings Sources. 

New Infinity Nikki Outfits & Reruns 

Rippling Reverie (5-Star)

• Main Attribute: Sweet
• Ability: Celestial Tide  
• Effect: Summons water platforms and teleportation points.

Rippling Reverie is the poster outfit for Version 2.7 with its bluish-purple iridescent flair and bubble-themed accents. It features movement and teleportation powers like the ability to boost yourself up using shifting tides and summon up to three Starlets, which act as mini teleportation points to transport you back to any of the marked locations at any time. If you want custom teleportation points (or just like the pigtailed aquatic idol look), then I’d consider pulling for this outfit.

Warm Miracles (4-Star)

• Main Attribute: Sexy
• Ability: Whimsicality 
• Effect: Summons star-shaped bubbles with special effects.

Evolution Reward Updates 

Like Rippling Reverie, Warm Miracles treads the line between Bubble and Fireworks trends with its star-centered ability and beachy vibe. It resembles an idol outfit with leg warmers and wrist cuffs along with a swimsuit-like body and shell embellishments.
The Enchanted Encounter and Flutter Storm outfits also have new Evolution rewards for players, which they can claim when glowing up their clothing. Enchanted Encounter in particular could be a game-changer for outfits with compatible abilities. For example, Soundless Dawn from Infinity Nikki 2.6 lures animals into one area for easy grooming, and Enchanted Encounter can groom multiple animals at once. 

Decorate Your Home

In Infinity Nikki, you can customize your own home base like you can with your outfits. However, that means also crafting and buying furniture to decorate your home. 

As you may expect, furniture can be expensive. That’s why it’s such a big deal that the Detective’s Study and Afternoon Tea Garden sets are currently available for sale at the Dreamland Showcase for 50% off, something rare to see in a game with no concept of “Black Friday.” I wouldn’t count on seeing these again for the foreseeable future–at least, not for the same items. You can only pick one of the two sets, so choose wisely.

As a reminder, you can buy furniture from the Dreamland Showcase using the currency called Dreamland Stones. You can earn them by completing quests under Dreamland Showcase > Dreamland Chronicles, which you can access via the Dreamland Showcase icon in your dashboard. Dreamland Chronicles usually includes basic tasks like using Ability Outfits related to your home. It tends to overlap with what you’d do anyway to decorate and progress through the home-related quests.

Quality of Life Improvements & Optimizations 

Infinity Nikki 2.7 also adds optimizations, including:

• Multiplayer Dungeons: Adds a way for players to enter Daily Realm Challenges and explore dungeons with friends directly from their home.
• Quick Access: Adds a Home Management button for convenience, allowing you to access it right away without digging through menus.
• Economy Tweaks: The Yardling Shop, which sells plants at your home base, no longer caps how much you can sell and now supports recycling for crop seeds and fish.
• Interface Overhauls: Implements improved sorting logic for featured items in the Dreamland Showcase, adds a dedicated “Yardling Picks” tab within the Yardling Shop, and separates configurations for seeds and dew equipment into large, medium, and small fields.

Overall, the 2.7 update is a good “catch-up” point for old and new Nikki fans to farm rewards, pull for outfits they might have missed, and start fleshing out their homes. Infinity Nikki 2.7 runs until July 16, 2026.
