Living to see another sunrise is a feat in the dangerous world of Dying Light 2. Luckily for you, when exploring or being confronted by foes, you have two aces up your sleeve. Parkour and creative combat.

Parkour is one of the main mechanics of the game. Getting apt at it can save your neck even in the most dire situation. Aiden is so agile he needs just a glance at his surroundings to recognize all the viable escape paths. Possibilities open up with the new skills and gear introduced in Dying Light 2 Stay Human, including the paraglider and a grappling hook. You’ll soon discover that the fluid, carefully crafted animations—created to reflect the real parkour experience—let you traverse the world like an elusive spectre. You’re going to need some practice first, of course, but everything is within your grasp.

Weapons are just one part of it, since the way you use them is inherently connected to your parkour skills. You can get advantage over your enemies or disorient them by swiftly changing position. The weapons themselves are many and varied—to the point where you take one look and know if they’re military-grade, improvised from everyday items, or museum artefacts.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human FightSince the world of Dying Light 2 was thrown back into Modern Dark Ages, you’ll rarely deal with pristine, factory-new items. The survivors know how important and useful weapon mods are, adding offensive or defensive capabilities to whatever you hold in your hand. You can reinforce the handle of your weapon, upgrade the blade or tip, or even add effects such as fire, electricity and many more. And you need to do it to prepare for many different combat scenarios. Enemy behaviour and tactics differ between the Infected and the humans. But that’s something you’ll have to discover yourself when Dying Light 2 launches, on December 7th, 2021.
