We love the creativity and freedom that the tabletop gives you as a player, so we wanted to make sure we brought that same freedom to the Wrath of the Righteous. With over 1,000 spells, feats and abilities, 25 classes (of which 5 are new to WotR) and many other features, you’ll want to lead the Armies of the Fifth Crusade to victory over and over again.
We received a ton of feedback during Kingmaker, and much of that feedback has made its way into WotR - such as continuing to give you the choice between turn based and real time combat. Similarly, we've created a whole new approach to how you'll experience the start of the game, to allow newcomers to get the most out of the incredible depth on offer.
The creative minds behind the story really wanted to focus on the great personal cost that comes with incredible power. Not only will you learn about corruption and redemption, but you can experience WotR in a nonlinear way. This means no two play-throughs will likely be the same! On top of all this layered and deep storytelling, the world will be experienced through an entirely new engine, bringing massively improved graphics, animation and overall immersion - allowing you to experience this adventure in the Age of Lost Omens with more depth than ever before.
We want our new game to give you the same feeling as good old Pathfinder: Kingmaker Enhanced Edition. If you enjoyed Kingmaker, you will definitely love Wrath of the Righteous as well.
The game is built around the idea of a rise to power via one of nine different Mythic Paths, each of which will transform the player’s character into a powerful being with special abilities. They will also significantly affect the story branches, change the world around the character, and impact the player’s relationships with companions and NPCs.
Mythic Paths are the main feature of Wrath of the Righteous. Mythic character progression was originally introduced by Paizo specifically for this Adventure Path, but our take on it differs from the tabletop version and is adapted to better fit the CRPG both mechanically and narratively. Each path will follow a specific theme, has a profound impact on the main story of the adventure, grants powerful unique abilities, and affects the character’s appearance. You will be able to become one of 9 different beings, each of whom centers around a completely different style of play and lore. Will you walk a path of redemption, or will you succumb to the cruelest and most tempting of paths?

We want you to feel the scale of the conflict in Wrath of the Righteous with the Crusade system — a new strategic layer of gameplay built specifically for this adventure.
While building this system we worked hard to ensure that it was not only interesting and fitting for the adventure, but also accessible and understandable to any players. We’ve listened closely to player feedback on the Kingdom Management system in Pathfinder: Kingmaker and acted on that to deliver a system that will be more integrated into the whole experience. We aim to make the consequences of your choices more clear and provide a wide range of tools to deal with any kind of a situation that could arise while leading the Crusade.
