The PC Gaming Show celebrated its 10th anniversary by featuring more than 70 games in today's showcase, including Killing Floor 3, Mars Tactics, and many more. We watched the show and assembled a rundown of the 2024 PC Gaming Show’s biggest unveils, announcements, and trailers. Steel Seed

Developer Storm in a Teacup’s Steel Seed blends stealth and action, and the new PC Gaming Show trailer gave us a good look at its bleak sci-fi setting. The game stars Zoe and her flying drone KOBY, as they explore an underground facility overrun by troublesome robots. The blend of action and stealth allows Zoe to engage directly or avoid some fights altogether as she explores deeper and saves humanity—while hopefully retaining her own.

Mars Tactics

Developer Takibi Games’ Mars Tactics is a turn-based strategy game set on a vast recreation of the red planet. Players choose between two factions—scrappy revolutionaries or a corporate army—and manage a force made up of soldiers, engineers, and scientists as they battle for control.

Killing Floor 3

Killing Floor 3, the latest installment in developer Tripwire Interactive’s zombie-killing series, got a lengthy demo at this year’s PC Gaming Show. Killing Floor 3 transports players to the year 2091, where the massive Horzine corporation continues to manufacture an army of zombies (or ZEDs). As members in good standing of the rebel group Nightfall, players can team up in groups of six to assemble an arsenal, fight off ZEDs, and help save the world.

The new PC Gaming Show trailer focused on Killing Floor 3's weapons and the bloody destruction they cause to the evil hordes of ZEDs. A behind-the-scenes interview with Tripwire's team also talked about how players will turn into “well-trained badasses," how the ZEDs have gotten smarter (or at least more aware of players), and how the new hit detection system leaves precise bullet holes in enemies—assuming that the limb you shot didn’t just fly off.

No More Room in Hell 2

The official unveiling of No More Room in Hell 2 happened just a few days ago at Summer Game Fest, but it made a second appearance at the PC Gaming Show 2024.

No More Room in Hell 2 is an eight-player co-op horror game from developer Torn Banner Studios, of Chivalry fame. A sequel to the 2011 Source mod, players spawn in separate locations across the map, fighting hordes of zombies while collecting gear and communicating to survive. If you don’t survive, you won’t respawn. To hear the developers describe it, No More Room in Hell 2’s brand of permadeath fosters “co-op with consequences.”

Moon Mystery

The moon is haunted and it's your job to investigate it in Moon Mystery, a first-person shooter from developer Cosmoscouts. Investigate the lunar base, figure out what went wrong (and why an AI computer is the only survivor), and explore Earth’s nearest celestial neighbor in a game that mixes shooting, platforming, and puzzles.

G.I. Joe: Wrath of Cobra

Developer Maple Powered Games’ side-scrolling beat-em-up is an ode to the iconic ‘80s cartoon. Players choose between beloved characters like Duke, Roadblock, Scarlett, and Snake Eyes and battle to defeat the evil forces of Cobra, including Baroness, Cobra Commander, Destro, and Serpentor.

Everholm

Everholm tells the story of Lilly,  whisked away to a mysterious island only to find that her memories have faded. She doesn’t know how she appeared here—but weirdly, everyone she meets seems to know about her and her quest for Melanie, her missing sister. Developer Chonky Loaf describes Everholm as a “minimalist RPG” that’s more about relationships than fighting.

Debtors’ Club

In Debtors’ Club, you play as a debt collector tasked with collecting money that businesses owe to the city. That’s harder than it might sound, which is why you get to use some extraordinary measures to make it happen. Persuasion, intimidation, and even more aggressive tactics (and enforcers) are arrows in your quiver, and you'll need to take advantage of them all to help make your quota. Just keep in mind that your actions—and the actions of the City Hall employees you manage—have consequences, both for you and for others in the game.

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is a story of gods and guns colliding, in what its creators describe as a “Souls-lite.” Gods and their armies terrorize the lands of Kian and have laid seige to the titular city of Dawn. You play as Nor Vanek, part of the Coalition army. It’s your job to battle back the enemy armies with a blend of guns, melee, and magic, ultimately sealing the gods behind the Door to the Great Below, back where they belong.

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn recently appeared at the new, indie-focused triple-i initiative, where the developers at A44 Games provided a behind-the-scenes look at game’s music.

Still Wakes the Deep

Still Wakes the Deep is the next game from The Chinese Room, developer of the narrative-heavy games Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, Dear Esther, and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture.

A horror game, Still Wakes the Deep is set on a sparsely populated oil rig off the coast of Scotland. The new PC Gaming Show trailer begins with the game’s protagonist getting fired by his angry boss—but the horror doesn't stop there, as he then misses the helicopter meant to take him home and is forced to wander the rainy and surreal oil rig...and maybe other dimensions. Something’s clearly wrong here. For more information, head over and read our recent interview with The Chinese Room, where they described Still Wakes the Deep as “The Thing on an oil rig.” Very evocative.
