Tchia Sets Sail on Epic Games Store on March 21

Today we also unveiled our special Oléti Edition that will feature a selection of cosmetic items for Tchia, each inspired by Kepler Interactive’s family of studios and their games. You will be able to dress Tchia as the main character in Sifu, customize your boat in the nightmarish colors of Scorn, and even carry a backpack reminiscent of Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn’s mysterious foxlike companion, Enki. It’s available to pre-order now as well as the standard edition!

One day, Tchia’s world is thrown into disarray when it is invaded by strange fabric creatures called the Maano, who are acting under the orders of the archipelago’s evil ruler, Meavora. And it’s going to get a lot worse as the Maano kidnap Tchia’s father. In order to try and rescue him, Tchia will have to seek an audience with Meavora, but he won’t give in that easily. It is now time for you to venture out on a quest to gather the offerings that will allow you to meet your nemesis!
Here’s a sneak peek: If you’re new to Tchia, it’s an open-world, sandbox adventure inspired by New Caledonia, the homeland of myself and my Awaceb studio co-founder, Thierry. The game immerses you in the many cultures and traditions of the archipelago – from its wildlife and landmarks to the people and languages. All characters in the game are voiced by local talent in Drehu and French!
If you’re interested to know more, we’ve released a mini-series called “Our Journey with Tchia” which spotlights all of the inspiration that is infused in the game: One of the unique features of Tchia is the Soul-jumping mechanic, which allows you to take control of any animal or object you come across in the game. This creates emerging experiences for both traversal and combat, as long as you are careful with your Soul-jumping meter! If it runs out, you’ll be forced outside of your possession and could be vulnerable. You can expand your stamina bar by exploring the world and taking on challenges in the various shrines spread throughout the archipelago. We’ve got races, hide-and-seek challenges, and even some that will test your skills with your slingshot!
Exploration is really at the core of Tchia, and you will be rewarded for going the extra mile every time. Test your acrobatic skills in diving board challenges, your craftmanship’s skills at totem carving, and even your talents as a ship captain through our boat races. From additional stamina points that will allow you to Soul-jump or climb longer, to even more customization options to give Tchia a unique style, every activity will invite you to discover a new aspect of Tchia.
