The story of the SSS comes to the West for the first time in The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero, available now on the Epic Games Store! Fill in the gap between the Trails in the Sky and Trails of Cold Steel arcs with the beginning of the Crossbell story, equipped with High-Speed Mode, Japanese voice audio, enhanced HD visuals, and more!
KeyArtLloyd Bannings is a rookie detective who joins the Crossbell Police Department to follow in the footsteps of his older brother. He’s instead tasked with leading the Special Support Section (SSS), a ragtag division thrown together to assist the citizens of Crossbell with odd or menial tasks. The other members of the SSS include Elie MacDowell, the granddaughter of a prominent city official; Randy Orlando, a womanizing ex-soldier; and Tio Plato, a young, stoic tech genius.  
SSS HQExperience engaging tactical combat by using all that the SSS has at their disposal. Orbments are devices that allow you to cast magic known as orbal arts. Adding Quartz to the available slots of a character’s Orbment lets you customize their arts and enhance their stats, creating builds that cater to your individual tastes. 

Arts are useful against enemies that can withstand physical attacks. They are associated with different elements and take time to charge, but can also pack a punch.

Unique to each character, Crafts are special moves that can deal damage, heal your allies, or identify an enemy’s strengths and weaknesses. Some can be used on a specific target, while others have a wider area of effect. 

Each character also has their own S-Craft, a powerful move that can only be used when they have 100 or more Craft Points. Just like Crafts, you can fire off a character’s S-Craft on their turn, but they can also be unleashed at any point in the battle, regardless of the turn order. This tactic is known as an S-Break.
