The Spellbreak Chapter Pass: The Chase to 50

The idea of chapters supporting an ongoing narrative is something that’s been part of our plans throughout development and there are two major themes for Chapter 1: the Spellstorm and the Bogmore Collective. In addition, just as we wanted the Chapter’s quests to weave a cohesive and coherent narrative, we also sought to make the rewards offered in our Chapter Pass relevant and consistent with that story. So with that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the rewards and how they fit into Spellbreak’s first chapter.
Bogmore Agent
Silence, Secrecy, SolitudeDeadmoss was completely overhauled for Chapter 1, with new gothic architecture, evocative sound effects, and dramatic ruins that stand as testaments to a long forgotten conflict. As the former home of the Bogmore Collective, we start off the chapter rewards with the Bogmore Agent.
As the most secretive of the kingdoms in the Five Hand Alliance, little is known about the Collective’s inner dealings. The Hand of Secrets, also known as the Shadehand, rules the Collective but their identity is so closely guarded that it is not even known by the other Hands of the Alliance. With the motto of “Silence, Secrecy, Solitude,” the Bogmore Agent is the perfect operative to protect and maintain the clandestine agenda of the Collective.
Stormseeker
Smiling in the Fury of the SpellstormAt reward level 7, Chapter Pass holders will unlock Stormseeker, a fearless explorer who dares to venture in the heart of the Spellstorm. The Spellstorm, an enormous cyclone of destructive magical energy, descended on the Highlands soon after the Fracture and in its wake, very little survives. But if the people of Velnor are ever to return to their homelands, brave individuals will be needed to seek out the mysteries of the storm and the Stormseeker doesn’t hesitate to volunteer.
Raven’s Flight
The Spirit of the Raven Cloaks You as You FallContinuing the Bogmore theme, at reward level 17, the Raven’s Flight cloudburst is unlocked. Outfits tend to get all the glory, but no Bogmore Agent would want to enter the Hollow Lands without the cover of this dramatic cloudburst. Observant players will note that ravens are a repeating theme among the Deadmoss architecture, as the Bogmore Collective uses the clever birds to relay important messages.
Mystic Investigator
What Will the Next Mystery Reveal?Who better to solve the mystery of the destructive Spellstorm than a Mystic Investigator! Unlocked at reward level 39, this intrepid fellow is on the trail of any clues that can help understand the storm and someday halt its devastating advance. With insatiable curiosity and an eye for details that others miss, he will not rest until all the facts point to one conclusion.
Bogmore Deathdealer
The Shadehand's Final OptionAt the completion of the Chapter Pass, reward level 50 unlocks the grim and sinister Bogmore Deathdealer. Few have ever seen the face of this mysterious entity, and none have lived to tell about it. It is rumored that this immortal being lies in apparent stasis far beneath Castle Bogmore, waiting for the time when the Shadehand will call on him to complete another grisly objective.
