Hello Vikings!

Tribes of Midgard Community Manager Sydnee here to welcome the Epic Games community into the world of Midgard! We’re so excited to have you here, and we have a lot to go over to get you up to speed before Season 2 and the Yulidays.
On December 14, Season 2 of Tribes of Midgard will introduce oceans, a Shipyard and boating, swimming, and a brand new Saga Boss! Players will also be welcomed to the world of Midgard with our festive Yulidays event. For three weeks, our team at Norsfell will drop exclusive cosmetics, rewards, and a pet for players to unlock for a limited time. The event and update are free to all Tribes of Midgard players - so there’s no reason not to celebrate!
Tribes Of Midgard Season 2 Viking Party
However, before you can celebrate, or even dream of taking on a Saga Boss, you’ll need to get the basics down. I’ve compiled a few of the best tips and tricks for Tribes of Midgard to get you off on the right foot.
Keep an eye on your stamina while swimming
While Vikings are strong and resilient, they aren’t invincible. When taking a swim in Midgard, make sure you keep an eye on your stamina bar below your Viking. If your stamina runs out before you’re on the shore or a boat, your Viking will drown

Use the War Chest
In the Village, there’s a communal War Chest that all players have access to. Be sure to periodically drop off precious loot in this chest: your whole team will have access to resources, items and weapons inside and automatically use them at vendors to craft items. Deposit your possessions here and make the Tribe stronger! You’ll have to work together to defeat the Saga Boss!
Use roads and boats to travel faster
When running around collecting materials, chasing Jötnar, or going back to your Village at sundown, your Viking will travel faster if you stick to the paths throughout the world that connect to all major points of interest. Plus, it takes the guesswork out of exploration! Using boats also allows you to travel directly to other shores of Midgard, and will save you quite a bit of time compared to traveling everywhere on foot. You can also swim, if you just want to cross a small inlet - but remember to keep an eye on your stamina bar!

Drop off your Souls before leaving the Village
Souls are the most important currency in Tribes of Midgard, earned from gathering resources, defeating enemies and pretty much doing anything while out in the world. If you die, you lose all the Souls you’ve been carrying, so make sure you use them to upgrade vendors, or to heal the all-important Seed of Yggdrasil (if it dies...the world ends) when you’re back at the Village. You don’t know pain until you’re killed by a Linnorm ambush with 1,500 Souls on you.

Rebuild your Quarry, Farm, Lumberyard, and Shipyard early
Repair these run-down facilities to receive a steady supply of resources transported directly to the War Chest in your Village. You’ll need the supplies they generate to help build Fortified Gates, Archer Towers, and to craft the equipment you’ll need to reach Season 2’s all-new Saga Boss. Also, new to Season 2 is the Shipyard! Rebuilding the Shipyard will allow you to create and upgrade boating kits to traverse the world of Midgard much faster.
While that’s not everything you need to know (I’d be here for quite a while), it should give you a head start in your first game of Tribes of Midgard!
