Star Wars Outlaws

Star Wars Outlaws is the first open-world Star Wars game, and it's headed to this galaxy on August 30, 2024.

Today's Ubisoft Forward demo took us through a piece of protagonist and fledgling scoundrel Kay Vess's search for Experts, characters scattered throughout the galaxy who can help her learn new skills. Her journey took her to Tatooine—though along the way, she took part in an optional space battle, which rewarded the player with credits and faction credibility. After that brief tangent, a jaunt through hyperspace dumped her in front of the famed desert planet. Impressively, the entire trip from space to the surface took place seamlessly.

There are many places to explore in Mos Eisley, including the iconic Mos Eisley Cantina. Outside the spaceport, we got a glimpse of every dusty thing a Star Wars fan would expect, from a Sandcrawler to canyons to pale-domed buildings. Kay Vess scouted her destination with her macrobinoculars and infiltrated a secure location like a true outlaw. It goes stealthily until it doesn’t, at which point blaster fire fills the air, she escapes on her speeder, and heads to hunt down her actual target.

Skull and Bones Season 2

Skull and Bones is developer Ubisoft Singapore’s pirate-themed action role-playing game. Players take to the high seas and take part in naval battles, fight with sea monsters, collect ships, and build a thieving empire. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown launched early this year, delivering a side-scrolling action adventure game that harkens back to the series’ roots. Ubisoft has expanded The Lost Crown since launch, bringing speedrun and permadeath modes. Today at Ubisoft Forward we got a glimpse of The Divine Trials update, scheduled for release this summer. It’ll bring new combat and puzzle challenges, alongside new amulets and outfits.

In September 2024, a new storyline with additional environments and enemies will launch as paid DLC. You can catch a bit of that story DLC, Mask of Darkness, in the trailer above.

You can find Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown in the Epic Games Store—and when you do, be sure to read our guide that offers our 12 best tips for exploration and survival.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is developer Massive Entertainment’s open-world action game set in the Western Frontier, a new area of Pandora not seen in James Cameron’s movies. Players take on the role of a Na’vi freed from oppression—but one who also feels like an outsider among the Na’vi. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora begins as a quest to reconnect and protect Pandora from the evil RDA corporation, and its post-launch season pass continues to add new cosmetics, story packs, quests and more.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora’s first story pack, The Sky Breaker, launches on July 16. You can see a preview of it in the trailer above.

The Crew Motorfest

Developer Ubisoft Ivory Tower’s open-world racing game, The Crew Motorfest, pits players against each other on the beautiful Hawaiian island of Oahu. There are more than 600 vehicles for players to collect, from bikes to boats, cars and planes.

Season 3 brings new cars, events and more. A new playlist called “Hollywood, Action!” puts players in the seat of a Hollywood stunt driver who will recreate blockbuster-style car chases. Ubisoft is even teasing the appearance of some famous movie vehicles. But wait, there's more! Season 4 launches on July 4, 2024, and customization is its theme, centered around two car cultures: Donk (focused on speed) and Lowrider (more laid back). Later this year, Season 5 will bring a new Hawaiian island to the game, a glimpse of which you can see in the trailer above.

For Honor

Ubisoft’s hero-based, melee-focused action game gives players the choice to fight up close and personal as a knight, viking, samurai, wu lin, or outlander. Players can go solo or team up with friends, and either play through For Honor’s campaign or battle it out online against other combatants. Today, Ubisoft announced that Year 8, Season 2, Murasama Blade starts June 13.

You can find For Honor in the Epic Games Store.

BattleCore Arena

BattleCore Arena is developer Ubisoft Bordeaux’s free-to-play shooter in which gravity takes center stage. Victory in this PvP game depends on players’ opponents flying out of the arena, as they jump, dash, and attempt to use physics to their advantage.

Anno 117: Pax Romana

Anno 117: Pax Romana takes the acclaimed strategy game franchise to the Roman Empire, where players take on the role of governor and expand through economic growth or brute force—the choice is yours. Players will govern two provinces, Latium and Albion, each presenting its own unique challenges to historical urban planners. Creating cities, managing logistics, and keeping citizens happy (or just in line) are Anno 117's core pillars.

Riders Republic Year 3

Riders Republic, developer Ubisoft Annecy’s love letter to extreme sports, invites players to race each other with bikes, skis, skateboards, snowboards and even wingsuits. Today, Ubisoft showed off some of the updates coming to Riders Republic in Year 3.

You can get Riders Republic in the Epic Games Store.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Assassin’s Creed Shadows brings the long-running series to Japan on November 15, 2024. Players will take on two roles in intertwined stories—Naoe is an adept shinobi Assassin from Iga Province, while Yasuke is a powerful African samurai of historical legend. Naoe’s style focuses on stealth, and Yasuke is more about power. Each character has their own gear and skills.

A quick trailer, a medium-length talk, and a long gameplay demo during Ubisoft Forward gave each character an introduction and time to show what makes them unique. Also, we learned that you can pet the dogs.

You can pre-purchase, pre-order, and wishlist Assassin’s Creed Shadows in the Epic Games Store. With your pre-purchase, you’ll get a bonus quest called “Thrown to the Dogs.”
