We’re Amplitude Studios, and we’ve been making strategy games alongside our community for the past 10 years. Today we’re announcing that our biggest project yet, HUMANKIND, will be coming to the Epic Games Store, and that pre-purchases are available now!
In Humankind you’ll be leading your people from the Neolithic era through to the modern age, creating your own unique civilization by combining up to 60 different cultures, making for over one million possible culture combinations!
Your objective in game is to be the player that leaves the strongest mark on the world, which is measured via Fame, the unifying victory condition for the game.
Fame takes many factors into account, from exploration and economy to wonders and warfare, giving you flexibility to approach the game the way they like and adapt your strategy any time.
As a measure of the mark you left on history, rather than the current state of the game, Fame can be gained in many ways, but is never lost. For example, even if you lose a war and your greatest city and the wonders you built in it are taken by an enemy, you will not lose the fame you gained for your grand architectural achievements.
There’s much more to the game of course – You’ll be leading your empire as your own customizable avatar, engaging in contextual diplomacy, and trying your hand at Civics, Religion, Naval & air warfare, plus Multiplayer up to 8 players.
