WW1 FPS Isonzo gets a free update with the new Grappa map

The Grappa update for WW1 FPS Isonzo adds the new Grappa map to the game, completing the Caporetto Offensive. Grappa is played after the Caporetto and Piave maps, with the German attackers having more reinforcements if they succeeded in the earlier battles. Historically the heavily fortified Monte Grappa was essential to the Italian defense - if it had been lost, the German and Austro-Hungarian attackers could have broken through the mountains to the plains beyond and taken the city of Venice!

All the key features of the Grappa landscape have been carefully recreated for Isonzo, from the shell cratered forest where the battle begins to the snow covered peak where the final defensive line awaits. To get there though, the Germans will have to cross a valley (smoke shells called in by officers might be invaluable here) and sabotage an ammunition cache hidden within tunnels dug into the mountain. Different stages of the battle give opportunities for every class and play style to shine: snipers in the open valley, pistol and bayonet wielding assault troops in the tunnels, and of course the trusty rifle for mid-range combat through forests and trench networks.

Today we’re also releasing a new pack of paid cosmetic DLC: the Expedition Units pack. It contains a wide variety of German uniforms, from the high ranking Generalmajor and specialist Alpenkorps uniform with skis to the Royal Bavarian Lifeguards rifleman. For cold weather you’ll find wind jackets, great coats and balaclavas to make sure every class can dress for battle in freezing conditions. As with all our DLCs, it’s purely cosmetic content.
