Wytchwood, the latest title from developer Alientrap Games and publisher Whitethorn Games, launches today on the Epic Games Store. This fairy-tale inspired crafting adventure game puts you into the shoes--and cauldron--of the old witch of the woods. Embark on an enchanting journey across the curious countryside, collecting ingredients for the spells needed to outwit any situation.

Early on, you are tasked with repaying a debt to a mysterious goat with whom you’ve made a binding pact. The payment requested is a simple twelve souls they have marked for you to collect. Gather those, and your debt will be considered paid in full. The only trouble is most are not exactly willing to part with their souls, so you must take the time to prepare the proper enchantments for each encounter.

Relying on your vast knowledge of hexes and potions, you can use your “witch’s eye” to scour your surroundings at any moment, highlighting any gatherable ingredients or nearby creatures. Inspecting further reveals insight into each reagent’s uses, as well as understanding the weaknesses of anything-or anyone-you wish to overcome. Once you have a clear course of action, all that is left is to combine your collected resources into the spells you need to… execute your plan.

I hope you enjoy your journey into the allegorical world of Wytchwood, available right now in the Epic Games Store!
