Il DLC Shores of Taishi presenta un nuovissimo tipo di isola (Celestial Shores) con inediti tipi di caselle, oggetti, luoghi, nemici, personaggi reclutabili e molto altro ancora. Una volta attivato, il DLC amplierà le possibilità nell'intero del gioco, sia in modalità campagna (Campaign Mode) che in modalità direttore (Director Mode).

Caratteristiche

  • Nuovo tipo di isola: Celestial Shores con un set di caselle completamente nuovo, una nuova meccanica di gioco collegata al teletrasporto tra le isolette e la nuova tribù dei Peacock

  • 6 nuovi personaggi reclutabili: Red Panda, Tanuki, Ghost Catcher, Warrior Peacock, Shaman Peacock, Scout Peacock

  • 6 nuovi nemici: Ushi Oni, Dangkang, Spectral Tiger, Spectral Snake, Tanuki Enforcer, Tanuki Motivator

  • 4 nuovi luoghi: Animal Shelter, Bath House, Wild Tanukis, Rite of Passage

  • 6 nuovi elementi di equipaggiamento: Bo Staff, Guandao, Jian, Bamboo Hatchet, Geta Sandals, Bagua Mirror

  • 7 nuovi oggetti Sanity: Zongzi, Sake, Lo Mai Chi, Chinese Tea, Go Board, Peach, Bamboo Flute

  • 7 nuovi trofei: Tanuki Testicles, Dangkang Tusk, Ushi-Oni Leg, Red Panda Fur, Phoenix Ashes, Spectral Tiger Pelt, skin Giant Spectral Snake

  • 4 nuovi livelli da sbloccare al Taishi Academy Explorer club a Parigi, che danno accesso a 1 personaggio reclutabile e a 3 elementi di equipaggiamento

The gameplay is fun for a time, but once you see what Curious Expedition 2 has to offer, you will start to look beneath the surface. If you do that and you still like what you see, maybe you’ll have a new indie favorite. Or maybe you’ll find that your curiosity is quickly sated, and you’ll move on to the next thing.

Curious Expedition 2's gorgeous backgrounds and good-looking characters improve on the first title, but don't do enough to make the management part of the game sparkle. Expeditions become a trudge, especially when your party robs you of all your alcohol; and combat can be fun, but not much fun to look at.
