dHexUs is a mash up of classic strategy board games, a bit of chess, a touch of collectible card games, and a dash of dice based role playing games. It's a great casual head-to-head strategy game you can play with a friend or against AI!
Collect different dHex (Decks of Hexes) for endless strategy combinations
Each dHex represents a factional army, and contains 6 Units surrounding 1 Relic
Every Unit has unique abilities, stats (Strength, Intelligence, Dexterity), and tags (such as "stone" "human" "fire" etc.). Pay attention to ability strengths and weaknesses against various stats and tags to inflict the most damage for the least effort!
Each Relic grants unique bonuses, but only one can be deployed in a game. Your army must defend it at all costs!
Draft your dHex based on the chosen Battle Field and opponent picks, deploy your Units, and defend your Relic while attempting to capture or destroy your opponent's Relic... or just eliminate their entire army!
Don't forget to collect precious dICE gems that spawn after every turn. dICE power your army; the more you have, the more you can do!
Think and act quickly... Every Battle Field has chess style player clocks that count down while each player takes their turn. If yours reaches zero, you lose!

Who Controls the dICE, Controls the Universe
dICE (Densely Intensified Condensate Energies) are naturally occurring crystallized forms of highly concentrated mystical energy forces that animate the Universe. Rare and arcane Relics can unleash and focus the power of dICE into legendary abilities and moving entire armies, increasing in power with each dICE collected. Naturally there is constant conflict over the capture and possession of dICE by Relic holding factions. Each faction is represented by a unique dHex in the game.
Included in Base Game
The base game comes with "The Dawn's Edge Plains" Battle Field and 2 dHex included (1 Sentinels dHex and 1 Glorm dHex). More dHex and other content are available for purchase, with new content released regularly.
When you play with a friend, you can choose to play with any of the dHex or Battle Fields that either of you own! It's a great way to try out new dHex without having to buy them first.

Each dHex has strengths and weaknesses... mix and match them or double up multiple times with the same dHex to maximize different strategies!

About the Developer
Hi!
I'm Samurai Penguin (aka SamPenguin, aka Ryan Seabury), the founder and sole member of good luck, have fun. You might remember me as the Creative Director on LEGO Universe... but probably not. ;)
I've been thinking about dHexUs as an idea since I was about 10 years old. I finally decided to just make it! I have been developing the game as a solo passion project on the side for a couple of years. If it finds enough support, I'd love to keep building out more dHex, Battle Fields, and maybe some new modes of play.

Early Access Notes
The current version is focused on head to head multiplayer. There is some placeholder AI to test strategies against. If enough people like the core game idea, more single player content is on the development roadmap.
Early Access players get access to private testing areas of the official Discord with direct access to the developer!
Currently, Early Access players are not charged real money to unlock items in the Shop so you can try various configurations for testing purposes. As such, player inventories of purchased items will be wiped and reset at the launch of dHexUs 1.0 (or at whatever release point that in app purchases become real).
I'd like to do some kind of special reward for all Early Access players when dHexUs 1.0 is released. What it is exactly is TBD based on what is actually possible to do on each platform.
