When will dHexUs 1.0 be fully released?

"When it's ready." :) I'm a one man dev team working as much as I can and unexpected delays happen all the time.

What platforms can I play dHexUs on?

dHexUs currently plays well on modern mobile devices (iOS and Android) and Windows computers. I'm looking into a Mac OS build as well, if there's enough demand. Multiplayer currently works cross platform as well!

What can I do to support development of dHexUs?

What else will be added to dHexUs 1.0 before it's officially released?

How do I play dHexUs?

Once you get in the game, there is a question mark button Big Codex of Rules and Such that explains how to play in more detail. I'm keeping that as the sole source of info on rules etc., since the game is still constantly evolving and the less time I spend updating info sites, the more I can spend on developing.

How can I play on my mobile device?

Currently you need to join the Discord (Åbnes i en ny fane) and request to get on the waiting list as a tester. I add testers as needed. I'm also looking into a way to purchase early access for mobile platforms, possibly through Discord.

Why is "dHexUs" capitalized funny? And why does the logo look like "dHexVs"?

The name dHexUs and how it is capitalized is a mashup of a bunch of references and the result of looking for a unique name that wasn't already a taken domain.

The lower case d is a reference to dice abbreviations from tabletop rpg games (e.g. d20, d6, etc.), since the core combat in dHexUs is based on d20 rolls and the lore concept of collecting dICE to power your army.

"Hex" is capitalized because everything is hex(agon) based.

The "Us" is both to represent the focus of the game to be a shared multiplayer experience with a friend, and also it just sounds nice rolling off of "dHex".

I played with the "U" in the logo to look more like a "V" because then it reads as "versus" which again, the focus of the game is head to head competition. "dHexVs" however is hard to pronounce and dhex.us was an available domain name, so that's why it is what it is!

What in-app or in-game purchases are offered in dHexUs?

As of 0.5.0, additional dHex are the only available items for purchase in the dHexUs shop.

Future feature roadmap includes potential plans for making new Battle Fields available which will allow for larger games (i.e. more than 2 dHex per side), more single player content, additional AI profiles, and cosmetic features, all of which is TBD based on player community feedback.

Can I play dHexUs without making any in-app purchases?

Yes! The base game includes a couple of starter dHex, full multiplayer features, and an AI you can play against. You will also be able to try out purchasable dHex without buying them first, if you play a game with a friend who owns them and you choose shared draft pool in the match lobby.

Are in-app purchases for dHexUs refundable?

No, in-app purchases are not refundable currently, primarily because I'm just one guy and I don't have a team or system that can handle requests like that.

What payment platform is used to facilitate in-app purchases?

dHexUs utilizes the purchasing systems native to the distribution platform you purchased the game and installed from. For example, if you buy and install dHexUs on Epic Games, dHexUs also utilizes Epic Games Store for in-app purchasing.
