What is included in Early Access?

Early Access for ER-cade includes the game at it's most recently released development stage. The free base game includes a small amount of content for each organ. Paid add-ons will expand what you can do with and learn about each organ (and will be low cost).

What is the current state of the game?

ER-cade already contains Epic Games Store achievements, online leaderboards, two of three planned heart-related minigames, missions to unlock more content (including premade missions and daily/weekly randomized missions), lasers, and anatomy/pathology content for the human heart.

How long will the game be in Early Access?

This is uncertain. While Gnome Lab Games will hopefully have several contributors in the future, ER-cade specifically is a solo-dev project. We want to get further feedback, add more content, and polish significantly before taking ER-cade out of early access.

How often will you be updating the game?

This depends on Gnome Lab Games' other projects, as well as the developer's schedule outside of game dev. At most several times per month, but there may be multiple months in a row without an update as well.

It also depends on how much interest ER-cade gets from players, so if you enjoy the game and want more content/updates, let us know!

Will my progress be saved during updates?

If you login with your Epic account within ER-cade, then yes. Achievements, stats, leaderboards, and save files all use Epic's EOS, and should not be affected by game updates (barring a major change to ER-cade's save file system, which is not planned)

Note: If you do NOT login with your Epic account, your progress may be lost.

Will the price change when the game leaves Early Access?

ER-cade's base game is and will always be free. Paid add-ons cost may increase slightly as it leaves early access.

Can I provide feedback and bug reports?

ER-cade uses Epic Games' platform as its payment system.

Does ER-cade support controller input, or only keyboard and mouse?

The PC version of ER-cade is keyboard and mouse only. If there is a lot of interest in controller support, it may be added in the future.
