Any pre-purchase or purchase of Kernel Hearts on the Epic Games Store will grant you the Fernet Outfit in Fortnite from August 17, 2026 at 1:00 PM ET.
The Fernet Outfit will also be purchasable separately in the Fortnite Shop from September 26, 2026 at 8:00 PM ET.
If I purchase Kernel Hearts on the Epic Games Store, will the Fernet Outfit also appear in my Fortnite Locker on other platforms? (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, etc.)
Yes! If you are signed in with your Epic account on PC or mobile, or have connected your console account(s) to your Epic account, the Fernet Outfit will be in your Fortnite Locker starting in August 17, 2026 at 1:00 PM ET.
What happens if I've already purchased the Fernet Outfit in the Fortnite Item Shop, and then I made a purchase meeting the eligibility requirement on Kernel Hearts through the Epic Games Store?
If you've already purchased the Fernet Outfit and then made a purchase meeting the eligibility requirement on Kernel Hearts through the Epic Games Store, you will receive a one-time grant inside Fortnite of 1,500 V-Bucks instead of the Fernet Outfit. Please note, V-Bucks refunds will only apply to outfits purchased within the last 12 months.
Do I get to keep the Fernet Outfit if I refund my purchase of Kernel Hearts on the Epic Games Store?
If you refund your purchase of Kernel Hearts on the Epic Games Store, you will lose your Fernet Outfit in Fortnite, and your grant of 1,500 V-Bucks if you obtained either by purchasing Kernel Hearts.
How long is this offer available?
The Fernet Outfit in Fortnite is available for as long as Kernel Hearts is available for sale on the Epic Games Store.
