What is Kode Zero?

Kode Zero is a new multiplayer "Battle Royale" style gaming platform which is established as a third-person in a cyberpunk world. The goal is simple: eliminate your opponents while taking the least amount of damage, and finish with the highest score. Opponents can be eliminated by using items/weapons pickup up around the world, or by using a player's hand combat mode. Players can choose to participate in a solo mode, or team mode (squads of 3).

What is the current state of the game?

The game is currently in the Early Access stage. This means that the game is a simplified version of the actual game, and focuses on essential gameplay elements and mechanics. The primary goal of this Early Access is to quickly release something that is functional and valuable enough to gather user feedback and learn from real-world usage. What is included in Early Access?

This Early Access version includes the essential gameplay features (including online multiplayer functionality and player matchmaking). Players have access to Free-To-Play and Skill-To-Earn modes (which include solo and team battle royale matches). We intend to integrate blockchain technology into the game in the future (which will involve crypto transactions and NFTs).

How is blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency used in this product?

Currently, players can earn cryptocurrencies by staking and participating in battle royale matches; the prize pools in these matches are then split to all players in that match based on their performance. More information can be found in the website.

What utility does this bring to the product?

Players are able to earn crypto based on their playing performance in a skill-based matchmaking environment. This allows players to earn crypto, regardless of their skill level. In other words, everyone can fairly earn crypto!

Does this product require me to connect an external wallet? What wallets does this product support?

Currently, the wallets are created within the game (by navigating to Settings->Blockchain). These wallets are Ethereum based, and the wallet private keys are stored locally in your PC. We do not store your private keys on any database, and simply use it to make transactions on your behalf.

Can I use the product without interacting or engaging with blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency?

Yes. You don't need to use any of the blockchain features to play the game (since the game is also Free-To-Play).

What chain does this product use? Is the chain proof-of-work or proof-of-stake?

Currently, the staking matches are based on the Ethereum network (where players can earn either Ethereum or Polygon). However, this may change in the future.

Does this product have a marketplace? What can I do with the things that I earn (or purchase)?

TBA (since the blockchain development has not yet started on this product).

Are there any in-game purchases?

Currently, there are no in-game purchases. However, in the future, there will be weapon NFTs that users can purchase through our marketplace. Updates on this feature will be continually posted through our social media channels.

Are there items (such as additional content, offers or currency) for sale that are used in the gameplay of your product?

Currently, there are no items for sale on our platform that are used in the game. The Ethereum and Polygon currencies are used in the game to participate in the staking matches (which are optional). These currencies can be obtained in any cryptocurrency exchange of your choice.

Can your product be used without making any in-app purchases?

Yes. You can use the product without making any purchases.

Are in-app purchases refundable?

There are no in-app purchases at the moment. However, in the future, NFTs will be incorporated into the game. As NFTs work on a decentralized concept and are traded and sold peer-to-peer, refunds do not apply.

What payment platform is used to facilitate these purchases? Do you use Epic Games’ platform or a 3rd-party (including your own) payment system?

As this is a blockchain game, all transactions are processed through the blockchain network (i.e., Ethereum and Polygon).
