It's a third-person game where you play as a nameless man, a deserter from the Union army, who discovers the body of a U.S. Marshal, fallen into an ambush, shot in cold blood while on his way to LaHood, a town on the Mexican border. You decide to assume his identity and head to LaHood. Your choice: redeem yourself by helping the local sheriff uphold the law, or take advantage of this new freedom and identity to take over the town and fill your pockets with cash.
